    Good, but not great

Finally I got my first Mephisto model that is true to size and width. I am normally 8 medium and they fit exactly.  I have a few other pairs that are narrow and I had to size up. Also I really wanted Helen sandal but it was too narrow with my toes sticking out on side. This design is great, very comfortable fit. I had to tighten up the straps to the furthest point to secure my feet and avoid any hanging loops. Navy Sandalbuck is a beautiful color I really like. Looks more like light black with Navy tone. I've been walking around the house only as I still in testing phase. So far two negative things I noticed. They are stiff and do not bend nicely when you walk. Also there is a little bit of suction right in the middle of the insole that makes clicking sound when I walk.

Mephisto is the only shoe I wear.  I have about 20 pairs.  Mephisto was recommended to me by an orthopedic doctor when I was having trouble walking without pain.  No pain now!  They have a great foot bed & arch support.  I usually buy 2 pair each year.  Some for every day & others for dressy.  The best part when they start looking grimy or worn you can send them in to be refurbished at a nominal price.  Mephisto even pays shipping.  I love them!!!!!!

These are the only sandals I wear. I have 3 pairs. One I got 15 years ago and I still wear them, the other one 7 years ago and then this pair last year. I prefer the ones with the suede straps over the leather but they are all great. They last forever. My advice is to wear them for a few weeks to break them in and let them conform to your feet. You then put cork glue around the outside of the shoe (on the cork) to help prevent it from splitting. My older ones are split by the straps in the cork but they still function fine, just affects the appearance. These sandals are so amazingly comfortable once they are broken in and conformed to your feet. Love them so much.
