Vesicularia dubyana, known as Christmas Moss, is a slow-growing aquatic moss with distinctive fir-like branches. ## Description

A moss speciality from Brasil, 1-3 cm tall, called "Christmas tree moss'', because of its side branch structure which distinguishes it from ordinary Vesicularia dubyana and looks like fir tree branches. It is more demanding than ordinary Java moss and grows more slowly. It attaches readily to roots and stones, and as it spreads in the water it needs pruning to keep its shape attractive. See also Taxiphyllum barbieri.Note: Christmas moss consists of small moss branches (ranging from 5-15mm long) so is trickier to tie onto wood or rock. Use lots of Aqua Fine Line (sold separately) to anchor it down.

Really good moss. Iv had it now since November. I stripped a lot of it down and spread it around my rocks. Put some in low light areas as it likes less light. 2 months on and it's growing nicely. It's not the fastest to grow but looks really nice and shrimp absolutely love it sitting on it and doing what they do best.
