Great value and performance
I had doubts considering the price and the description of being for low speed vehicles traveling at under 45MPH. I drive on a USPS rural route and also for a personal vehicle, so I am frequently on highways with 75 MPH speed limits. When I received the item the base feet had gotten a little bent causing it to not sit flat on a flat surface. I used my hands to straighten them up and then installed on the roof of my Hondas CR-V. It isn't a flat roof and the feet were not sitting on a completely flat surface.Regardless, I have been at 80+ MPH during extremely windy/gusty days with 18 wheelers passing me head on and it has never moved an inch! I have even left it on the rooftop through a car wash!If you are concerned about it blowing off at regular highway speeds.... don't be!I have also driven through very heavy rains and have seen no signs of moisture inside the strobe. My regular carrier has a strobe that he paid several hundreds of dollars for. I don't know how long it will last, but so far, I am a very happy customer.I also really appreciate having a dedicated on/off switch that allows me to simply turn it on and off as needed, without having to cycle through to the strobe pattern I want.Don't really know how it could be better...

It's still new, but seems to work very nicely...
I bought this unit to replace a 3-year old unit that is very similar in look, function and design. The old unit worked very well, but showed signs of age and use, so I felt it was time to replace it. This new unit appears to be well designed and even a little better. It's probably 50% brighter than the old one and the light shows very well in a full 360º circle of light when you look at it from ANY angle. The old unit worked best ONLY when looking straight at the flasher. If you got to the side of the flasher, it was much less bright. I've only used it for 1 night so far, so I may update this review later.Pros:Very bright for the money. Brighter than my old similar unit.Better cost. My old unit sells for nearly $60, this one was only $45 (and you might find it cheaper if you look around.)Good magnetic contact to the roof. It should hold up well to freeway speeds as well as my old unit did.Offers many more flash patterns and will remember the last flash pattern used. Easy to use on/off switch and pattern select buttons.Appears to be water/rain proof. (Will update as I use it more. We are still getting a lot of rain.)Cons:My old unit had a curled cord. This one is straight. So I have to deal with extra cord that kind of gets in the way. The curled cord seems to work better for my needs. The rubber footings that protect the car roof from the metal magnets are a little thin. Much thinner than my old unit's rubber cups. I am afraid they might wear thru with use and age. (Time will tell.)But all in all, I am very pleased with this new flasher. The brightness is much better and I feel like I'm seen better when I need to use it for on sight lighting inspections late at night when I'm driving thru truck yards and I want to make sure I'm seen. For the price, I'm not sure you can find a much better flash unit.I will update as needed to report any new items of note.Update: I’ve had this unit for 2 years now. It still works like new and has suffered little for any wear. In fact, it sits on top of my car 24/7/365 ... much of the time out in the sun and/or elements. All without much, if any signs of wear or aging. It’s well worth the price.

The product is well designed, cable is of adequate length, LED brightness is sufficient and I like the switch on the 12V plug even though the red indicator light isn't functional (I can tell that the unit is on by the state of the switch). My only issue is that the polycarbonate case that houses the lights collects a good deal of moisture when used in the rain and takes a while to evaporate. I think a much greater deal of consideration should have been put towards waterproofing the unit since I imagine many industries use safety lights on their vehicles exclusively in inclement weather.

let me put it like this.
OK you can stop looking at these things now. Just get this one. It just arrived and...well, let me put it like this....when is the last time you wanted to high five yourself for actually making a GREAT product purchase, one that exceeded your highest expectations? I wanted to give myself a big high five for this baby. Solid, sturdy, long cord, two strong magnets, and multiple-pattern lights that are bright & clear as what you see on official county trucks. If this doesn't get people's attention up on the top of your roof, it's hopeless. So just order the thing and be done with it. It rocks.

Decent for the price.
I saw many reviews but in the end I purchased this and it's actually pretty decent. It has a magnet at the bottom so it fits nicely on the roof and although it says you should not drive over 40 miles an hour I've gotten on the freeway 50 to 60 miles an hour and it stays on. I did not give it 5 stars because I don't know if it's my unit specifically but the attachments to go into the 12 volt receiver of my truck was very loose and did not fit correctly. Other than that not a bad product I've only used it two days in a row I'll let you know if anything changes.

Awesome durable bright light
4 days away from ordering this 4yrs ago.Traveled thousands of miles in winter on road trips with this, freezing Temps, freezing fog, rain, sun, all weather... after all these years, some light yellowing to the plastic cover but that does not affect its performance...Didn't use it for a long time, left it outside in the weather for about a year, spent months upside down in the rain to where it has a little water pooled inside, I thought for sure it would be dead, turned it sideways, let the water drip out. Tested it, still works like the day I bought it...Even let a friend borrow it awhile back for the Gambler 500, it survived that on a Ford Ranger where he sent his truck quite a few times...Would definitely Recommend this, bright and durable.

Didn't last 6 months.
I purchased this light for my service truck in June of 2019. I rarely use it as I'm usually in the middle of the bush by myself, so I would say I've only used it maybe 10 times. It was quite bright and it was nice having the different flash modes plus the magnet was strong and the light didn't move at all since I originally installed it. However, in December I was dispatched to a down truck on the highway so I was expecting to have this light on. Nothing. The light on the switch turns on, but the light itself doesn't. There's no moisture in the light and the wiring is good. I'm sure I could take it apart and figure something out, but it's not worth the time. Unless you only plan on using the light a few times and that's it, I don't recommend it.

Don't leave it plugged in when not in use.
The light worked as intended, but if you leave it plugged in and TURNED OFF, it will drain 2 brand new Ford 850cca batteries overnight. Works, good patterns, but dont forget to unplug because even off it will drain batteries.

Bright and magnets hold well
Item arrived before expected delivery date and in fine condition. There was one hole in the box about 2 inches in diameter but the light inside the box was fine. I'm not sure how to rate "Warmth" or "Sheerness" in the questionnaire, as those features do not apply to this purchase. the price has gone up considerably since my purchase so I rated it as a 5 out of 5 for value since I purchased at a great price of $68CAD. The magnets hold well as I continually do 100kmh and the light does not move while mounted on my roof. It is too early to accurately grade this item but after one week of intermittent use it seems to work great.

Quite bright for the price
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this product for the price. First of all it doesn't feel cheap. The plastic feels of good quality, the magnets are solid and the cable is durable.I tested the light in both the day and the night and while it's not as bright as something like Fenix or Code 3 it is still quite bright. It is easily visible on a sunny day for a decent distance. It offers a good selection of flash patterns, you'll most likely be able to find one that fits your style. There were 3 that I identified that I quite enjoy. This is a good quality product that will fit your needs if you're looking for budget lighting. I highly recommend!

Perfect for the job
I use a Polaris Ranger in our neighbouring land development project, and sit it on the metal rail behind the seat. The magnet is quite strong, so the unit is stable even with bumpy terrain. The pattern I use is alternating left and right multiple flashes, and the light output is excellent, allowing ht to be seen for great distances.
