Keeps room cooler
I find that this is very sturdy, held up against our storms. Keeps the sun from shining through the window, Keeps this room a lot cooler in the summer. It's pretty easy to assemble and functional, rain protection and sun protection. This was so much cheaper price wise than others and it's very good quality.

Great service, price and does the job
I didn't think it would work with our limited space above the door. It sure keeps the afternoon sun off the door and anyone under 6' can easily walk through. Our first one arrived with a tear in the fabric, replacement came a week later. Easy to install and does the job for a very low price. I'm not sure how it will hold up for more than a year.

Added Adaptions/ Installation Hints
I am really pleased with my awning. I have made several adjustments in the install. First: I pit the top brackets upside down because I had a downspout next to the windows, I was using the awning for. This worked out just fine and I did not want the pully system to be used. This cause the top clamps to show but that is all right because I painted them to match the window trim and you hardly notice them. Second: I put a 45' cross wood bar (1/2" x 3/4") from the upper edge to the side bar connection at the elbow for each side. I anchored this at the elbow by drilling a hole through the side bar putting a screw through metal bar into the 45' angle bar. When I connected them, I pushed downward on the bar to stretch the awning. On the upper connection I just pressured it against the wall and later chalked it with Liquid Nails to secure it to the wall. I also Liquid nailed the joint that allows the bottom to be lifted and lowered. Third: Before putting the fabric on the frame, I coated the fabric with Scotch Guard Outdoor. I put three coats and to outside and one on the inside. This will prevent any fading of the fabric hopefully. Fourth: I painted all the exposed metal bars with black to match the fabric to give it a clean finished look. I feel doing All this will make a very nice High-quality awning even better. I found all the framing material used to be top quality and very strong. The canvas fabric was also very high quality. You can do some of this for your if you want. My golf buddies all say I over engineer things, but I only like to do something once and then be done with it. I hope helps anyone else interest in this product. One last comment if you need knowledge on the installation check out UTube video titled: "SavAwn Window & Door Awning Instructional Video How to Install by Kelly Ironworks" It is the best in explaining how to install this awning. I highly recommend buying this awning. It is a bargain and High quality.

Will fade
Looks great but after a couple months it totally faded. It was black now it’s a very light color black almost grey. That’s my only complaint.

To install more securely
Received today and assembled on the ground. The hex bolt did not sit flat in each of the head-top rod bracket, due to interference. I put the bolt in a vice and filed down one point on the hex head to cure that. It let the bolt protrude more and allowed more threads to protrude, more play in the clamp so it could wrap around the rod and cloth before tightening. To make a more secure attachment to the house, I may get a 4 foot aluminum bar or angle, drill some holes in it to mate with the bracket holes, mount the brackets to it with machine screws, then install that piece on the house, then attach the awning.
