This barely lasted less then a month. I put a brand new battery and been told that I sound nice and loud and then it drops off. Very disappointed. I'll end up t h r p hugging It a way. Guess I get what I pay for.

Brings back the memories of the good old days. I opted for the echo microphone over an echo board because I do not ways get the same lorry at work. The lorries each have their own AM / FM citizen's band transceivers. All I have to do is bring my Tornado echo microphone and I can attach it to any of the transceivers in the lorries. I can even attach it to the work office citizen's band station with a small adapter. Now I bring back the sound of yesteryear in any radio! It is a nice feeling microphone, it sounds very loud, and has many different sound settings. I love it! I attached it to an HF transceiver on upper side band. If I turn the echo all the way down and the volume up, now I have an amplified microphone for side band use. None of the other operators suspected an echo microphone. The only reason for the four stars verses five stars is the rear door is a bit of an ill fit until it is fumbled with for a bit. It just does not fit the way it should without some intervention. Other than that, it is a great microphone! 2019 - I still have the microphone today and use it nearly daily. It travels with me a lot.

Works great, good echo doing and volume too. Every thing from slight echo to crazy long echo. Fun to use

The mic has a good audio quality for the price. Getting the mic set to sound the way you want it is sometimes a chore. The echo controls located on the back are easily moved, so keeping your settings are tough. Not really that big of a deal to me as I've used this mic so much that I can reset the knobs without even having to look. As for construction: this thing is frail! The first day I had the mic the white wire inside the mic came loose, the solder to the wire was very weak so I re-soldered all connections in the microphone. Also, the plastic cracked through on the back cover in a perfect circle while tightening the screw after repair. BE VERY GENTLE when turning the rear screw. Overall for the price I got a mic that sounds good on air and is still holding together by the thumb screw on the rear of the mic just fine. Used in conjunction with: COBRA 29 LTD CLASSIC

Very nice mic. I rewired it to a 6 pin plug myself for my RCI-2950. It sounds absolutely awesome. My radio really needed the boost on AM. I am very satisfied with the feel and quality.
