Opteka Moon-Grip Professional Camera/Camcorder Action Stabilizing Handle with Accessory Shoe for Flash, Mic, or Video Light (Gray)

I received the MoonGrip Professional Camera / Camcorder X-GRIP Action Stabilizing Handle - Metallic Grey XGRIP last week. It arrived quickly, in perfect condition, and works great. I read all the reviews about the Opteka X-Grip and the problems, cheap, crooked, no tripod screw mounts etc. Also checked out the ones made by Zeikios and Foregrip. This unit was much cheaper and not one flaw that I can find, the box was sealed well and looks as if never opened, all brand new. Very pleased with the new grip, saved some money and it works great. The color says metallic grey, its more grey but for the price who cares. I am a very anal person and tend to over analyze everything, so for me to give it five stars it has to be flawless. Thanks Amazon for providing me this product at a reduced cost. I am using the grip for my GoPro Hero2 for my Nikon D5000. Both work very well on this grip.

I ordered this grip about 2 weeks ago and it was delivered fairly quick! I love this handle i have my nikon coolpix l820 on it and i use it for skateboarding. It does help stabability but the plastic is KINDA flimsy it doesn't seem to be easily broken but if enough pressure is on it it will tend to shake which shouldn't be a problem since you will most likely be carrying it not pushing down on it i used the grip for about a day and the foam began to soften up (isn't a bad thing) the hot shoe mount does not swivel when tightened up! and all in all it is great for the price good for beginners with a low budget or it can be good for anyone if used properly. i will likely be moving on to a cam caddie in a few months though! thank u opteka for a wonderful stabilizer oh and no gifts are included so when u get the package don't expect anything but the stabilizer and the hot shoe mount in a little baggy

A nice solid feeling piece of plastic and foam. I have a very small HD camcorder that weighs nothing so I came up with this solution to add some mass. I screw my monopod (folded up) into the bottom thumb screw and let it hang down. It really steadies the cam and allows me to record smooth moves. I can use the upper shoe to hold my wireless microphone receiver. Very impressive and well worth the money.

Very un-supporting plastic. The mount on the top snapped while in use. I would recommend to amateur film enthusiasts/filmers to use but remember that nothing can completely stabilize a shaky grip.

i really wanted to give 5 star... maybe for you it is 5 star but it didnt work for me.. i am really worry when i use it with 70-200 canon lense. it is like it will be broken in a short time... i really want to find the good one. and also this one not fit with the battery grip.. i did alot of scratches on my camera.....But if you have light camera, it will work for you...

Simple and works well with my Lumix G6. Decent quality materials but certainly won't put my camera in any sort of peril. Solid construction and very comfortable handle. I would trust it with my heavier D90 (if the video didn't suck) or any other heavier DSLR that would fit. The clearance is 4.75in/12cm and has a flash mount.For a light-weight camera especially, this is perfect and cheap and I didn't have a problem with "plastic" smell as mentioned by other customers.

flimsy piece of junk plastic comes loose on thumb screw they want 8.90 for new screw they are a joke of a company and do not stand by product

This is awesome. Got this because I was broke and couldn't buy the cam caddie and needed something to film my skateboarding this is acualy better in my opinion then the cam caddie. Great grip. Great flex. Doesn't feel cheap. Great but
