Would this work for a make up table?

This is exactly what I bought it for my wife to use for. I personally thought it was very cheaply made. What they don't tell you until you actually open the box is that the top shelf has a maximum capacity of 10lbs, the middle shelf (tabletop surface) has a capacity of 30lbs, and the bottom has a capacity of 10lbs also. My wife likes the look, but it is not very sturdy, and probably won't last very long. All the pieces are particle board and a very cheap form of MDF board. A lot of movement will absolutely loosen the screws and make it very wobbly. If it's not something you tend to put through a lot of heavy use and are mindful of its construction, it should work for at least a while. I was a bit disappointed when it arrived, but after further thought, I realized you get what you pay for, and I'm not sure what more I could have expected for under $50.

Does it wobble once it's assembled? Is there a vinyl covering the wood or is the wood just painted?

Painted wood. If it's put together right it shouldn't wobble. Mine doesn't and it has a heavy Dell All in One on it, although it is better suited for a laptop.
