Review: Very good product, helps to relieve spinal tension and pains - This roller was purchased based on the recommendation of my private physiotherapist to help alleviate the back pains which I get due to a car crash I was in many years ago. I have been seeing physios for many years now due to this issue and have only been told about this type of product very recently and I was skeptical it would do anything to help me, I was very wrong however (and happy to be so). Now this will probably not provide any long term aid without other types of treatments being carried out in parallel, I personally didn't expect this either but what it does do (for me at least) is aid in the reduction of stress and pains which I get in my mid to upper spinal area. I simply lie on the floor with this behind my back and lean over backward while rolling up and down on it, my spine lets out a series of cracks and pops and I instantly feel better! Now the pains do come back throughout the day but as an instant cure for a short period of time i have found no better product or treatment other than visiting my expensive private phsio. Review: Contributed to improving my back pain - I have been suffering with severe back ache for over a year - my doc referred me to an NHS physio and he gave me a course of massage and a set of daily exercises and whilst there was some improvement I still needed daily pain killers. I tried acupuncture but it made no difference so I tried a chiropractor. I was very sceptical when he said he could do something for me within 3 or 4 sessions but the first was an assessment and a couple of back 'cracks', the next two sessions involved back 'cracks', pelvic twists and elbow pressure points into the muscles, learning new exercises and advice to buy and use a foam roller 2 to 3 times a day. The 3rd (last session) was 4 weeks ago - this week I have re-turfed a small lawn. I still need painkillers in the morning, but use the roller for no more than 5 minutes a time, in the morning, before I get into bed and any time during the day after exercise ie the re-turfing, car washing, golf (which has improved swinging without pain) etc I am more comfortable than I have been for 2 years which I mainly put down to the roller - a very cheap remedy.

Contributed to improving my back pain

Great product
The foam roller is great, quite hard but not so different that others I have used at the gym. I bought the shorter length and use it for my back and legs, perfectly big enough. I think it works really well, looked up some exercises to use online and I think its worth the money. I can already feel a difference.

Can't live without it now!
A friend of mine suggested I use these before my leg workouts so I started with the one available at my gym, which I thought was pretty firm - until I bought this! Don't let its firmness put you off though, yes you will have to get used to it but after a short period of regular use you'll find other rollers just don't cut it. I use this primarily for my legs (oh the pain...but its the awesome kind of pain) and my back. It works wonders for me!!! I use it for the myostatic release and my muscles feel completely light relaxed after a 15min session and ready for any leg workout. Its awesome on the quads (front & side) and great on the lower back and glutes - a few youtube videos will get you going on the correct exercises to do. I took a while searching for the right roller, I'm quite sceptical before buying something as it takes me forever to convince myself an item is the right one - this is the perfect one! All in all a great buy and I can't live without it anymore, like having a physio at home! Yes its firm but its the firmness you need - can'g go wrong

Keeps the physio away
I’ve owned and use loads of different foam rollers and this is definitely a good quality item. Initially it is a good firm roller that when used correctly will help with DOMS, hitting those tight knots in muscle tissue and injury prevention. But with any item of this kind it will eventually get softer but that’s normal and frankly this item has lasted well and I’d recommend it to anyone. Just a recommendation but don’t keep the foam roller in your car or any place which may subject the item to extremes of temperature as I believe this can dramatically shorten the lifespan of your item. This was bought in conjunction with a knobbly foam roller to really work the knots in muscles. This item is perfect for really really tight and sore muscles which I cant bare to use the ‘knobbly’ roller on.

Definitely worth a try for lower back pain sufferers like me
I was sceptical to say the least when my physiotherapist recommended me to get one of these to help with a chronic lower back pain problem that I'd suffered for too many years. Over time, even strong pain medication had become less effective in providing symptomatic relief so there was little to lose in giving the roller a go. As part of my treatment and rehabilitation I was shown a few exercises which provided drug-free relief and additional exercises are available on YouTube to watch and try. We're all made differently but for anyone who, like me, seemingly had nowhere else to go when I needed pain management help I'd say it's definitely worth a go before giving up hope of becoming pain free. I'll be honest and say I'm still not completely pain free but I've already felt the benefits and continue to use my roller as part of my daily self-help regime.

I didn’t like it but my friend did
I found it painful, so it ended up shoved in a corner. My friend tried it and it really helped her back and neck, so she took it home. She’s a regular gym goer, so probably more used to pain 😂

Brilliant roller
I’m a PT so using a roller is really important for me and my clients. Really like this roller, it’s good quality and I’d always say, buy the longer length so you can lie with the roller down your spine to open up your chest. Too many rollers have lumps and bumps on them which people think will be better but the problem is that they are so harsh, you cannot facilitate the correct movement or full movement to gain the benefits. Better to use something simple like this and improve the range of movement.
