and the website interface has been changed slightly (now it looks like an iPad
Works well enough, but IS NOT 720P. The software allows viewing in 640x480 via the web interface, which is not even close to 720P. The night vision works okay, and the IR camera doesn't seem to let off that faint red glow (which is nice) also the on indicator led doesn't work on mine.Basically it's the same as all the other Cameras in it's category just with a different plastic covering, and the website interface has been changed slightly (now it looks like an iPad, which looks really stupid).Other problems are that I could not get it to recognize or format a 64gb sd card for recording (SO NO RECORDING TO DEVICE), but I can get it to upload files to an ftp server (though only to the root of the ftp). The files come in the form of jpeg snapshots uploading a max 1/sec.Probably most worrying is that ALL of these devices have a telnet port open, with a username/password combo which is different from the one you set yourself, and cannot be turned off. Backdoor? or innocent debugging connection for company reps? (probably doesn't matter the result is the same). Also no SSL on your HTTP, so for those of you who are security minded, don't expect to be putting this thing directly on the web. So this is a good camera to keep outdoors under the porch to watch your dog, other than that it's only good for scaring the pants of the kids at the rehab next door.

Not bad for the price...
Works good for me. I replaced the factory default lens with a 2.1mm wide angle lens. I prefer the wider F.O.V.Video is not bad and audio is good. One complaint I have is the flimsy plastic mount that only allows you to mount the camera on a horizontal surface such as a table or ceiling. I mounted mine on the ceiling in my garage. When it arrived, the focus was off but it's easy to adjust just by turning the lens in or out. Used a siemens star chart to adjust the focus when I installed the new 2.1mm lens. Now the bad part. There is no tech support for this camera. This is the reason for giving it 1 star. I have sent two emails to the seller asking for a link to firmware updates. I have not received any replies or communication from the seller. I was going to purchase a couple more of these cameras but have decided to purchase the other cameras from a company that offers support. Will not be buying anymore of these.

Trust fund baby: Lazy child of ambitious parents
Pros:Setup is easy, provided the default settings are to your liking. Unfortunately that is not likely. Picture quality is good, day, night or low-light. IR is a bit sketchy. Phone interface is intuitive, though limiting. Set points quickly re-align the camera, after it goes wandering.ConsUser manual, online or in paper, is useless. Internet support is non-existent. Phone support is in chinese only. PPPoE or SMTP are not supported in any way I can find. Some features, such as emailing in case of detected alarm do not work. Taking photos in case of alarms also do not work.Unit will realign itself for no reason, at random times, adjusting to random orientations. This means it may stare at the wall, not detecting any motion for weeks if you don't notice it, or are away on vacation.Phone interface works over WiFi only and has limited access to functions.

the installation is easier in a way and the PTZ is very fast which is awesome. However I was having problems over wifi
It's a big upgrade over the foscam, but still needs improvement. the installation is easier in a way and the PTZ is very fast which is awesome. However I was having problems over wifi. on wired ethernet it works well. Build quality is decent too. the IR lights is not so much a flood, but more of a spotlight almost. the image in the center is very bright and FPS drops from about 20 to 10 during night operations. The IR filter also cuts in and out during early day when it can't decide if it should use the feature. This causes for camera to start recording out of nowhere. Very annoying

4 out of 5 aint bad
I would give the camera 5 stars but there are a few things that prevent that rating. First, the instructions are a little confusing and set up took longer than I expected. Second, I am using a Samsung Galaxy S4 and My wife the S3 we both have the android app for this camers and the camera does not utilize the zoom feature with this app, I am able to zoom with the home computer app but not the Samsung app!!! this is a big disapointment, hope they can fix this in the future! Last, the power cord is very short, i had to plug the cord to an extension cord in order to plug it in. Other cameras offer extension cables for the power cord! This company is in China, so customer service is limited. I did e-mail them a few times and recieved responses but still would be nice to actually speak to someone! All in all it does what it is advertised to do!I also have the Geeya C601 and same thing applies to it that does to this one except the picture is a little more crisper with this one!

Great Buy for the Price
We bought the GEEYA to use as a nanny-cam. We couldn't afford to spend a lot of money (we have twins, after all!) and this camera came recommended from a friend. It's pretty much plug n' play, although the instructions on how to access the camera from your mobile device aren't super clear. (and they are in TINY print) We figured it out, though, for an Android and an iPhone. It's great to be able to access the camera any time, adn to be able to see well in a dark room. Note that two people cannot be logged in for viewing at the same time. You can hear everything that's going on, and can even speak through the camera to the person in the room you are watching. Don't expect a smooth camera feed. It's a bit jumpy, and there is a delay. The features are nice, though - I can pan all around the room, zoom in and out, snap still photos and even record video. I have already recommended it to a friend.
