This is the case for you.
I purchase this simply because it came with a shoulder strap (it also has a belt clip if you prefer). To me everything is ergonomically placed. It comes with three (3) zipper compartments. The last one is where the camera goes. I like the placement of where the zipper for the camera is located. It is near the rear (closest to the body). Some people might complain about this, but to me I think that is smart. I've seem too many shows on how thieve pick-pocket cameras, cash and other valuables while traveling. So to me this placement is very smart.I have the Sony RX-100. I can fit the camera, SD cards, and two spare batteries with no problem. The case is padded slightly, so your device will survive a light fall without much, if any damage. Depending on your camera and charger, you might be able to fit them both in this case, as for me, I couldn't.If you have big fingers, them this case might be a problem if you intend to use the extra zipper compartments. Small items like a micro SD Card might be a problem when trying to get out but other than that, the average consumer will love this carrying case.

Best case for Sony RX100 vii
I tried two other cases and this is the best for the RX100.Case Logic DCB-30 is too tight, difficult to get the camera in and out.Case Logic TBC-403 is too loose, also difficult to get the camera in and out. This Sony case is just the right size for the RX100. Because the zipper is on the belt loop side, and also because the (recommended, optional) camera grip is on top (portrait mode case), the camera slides in and out easily with one hand. A detail, but important.A double zIpper on the main case allows the camera wrist loop to come out on top, between the zippers. The belt loop is good because it has a gripper so you don't have to take your belt off to put the case on the left side (as is my custom). The gripper is strong. You can also thread the belt through the loop of the loop, so that it can't possibly fall off. It also allow use on a backpack/knapsack waist belt or shoulder harness. There are two compartments in addition to the main one. The second is just right for spare batteries. The third, outer, is thin for Smart Cards. An over the shoulder lanyard is for people who don't have a belt.

Just shy of great, could use an inkling more padding for my taste, too big for belt useage, really nice bag for RX100 though.
Got this because I heard it would fit a Sony RX100 which it doe's comfortably and I might add it even fits with my quick release plate from my Amazon lightweight tripod, which is a great thing. I give it one star which is unfair because it deserves five, because if clipped on a belt it's just too bulky, can't wear it on you hip and expect to get a jacket and seatbelt on. Which means this little tiny bag has to be used with a shoulder strap or put in a napsack or briefcase or something. I find the strap no matter what won't stay on my shoulder, slides right off as soon as I move and I haven't tried it over my head yet, but think that might be the only way to strap carry this tiny pouch. Plenty of extra room in it's pouch up front for batteries x2 or a few memory cards and a cable or charger if thin. Just with my RX100 in it with quick release it's kind of heavy and the case feels like it should protect it from a decent fall I can't alltogether be sure like with my other sony cases for my other cameras, those I know will protect my cameras, kind of like they could have gone just a little thicker on the padding, but that's not my real concern, it should be fine for a four to five foot fall on concrete. My big gripe like I said is that it's just not a belt loop bag because it's just a wee bit big and that bums me out the LCS-BDE is a perfect belt bag but just a little too small, aghh I give up for now, this one fits the RX100 pretty much perfectly and has room for accessories and I like is by Sony for my Sony, LOL. It's a good bag, just shy of great, oh and the belt clip is a loop and then has a button, so you can button it on or arround belt or use the camera loop and feed the belt through loop, so you have a choice of how to wear it, remember belt button can unsnap and then an hour later wheres my camera so be aware of that.

Perfect for my HX99
I bought a Sony HX99 specifically for bicycle touring, and was looking for a way to pack it comfortably. I found that this LCSCSJ was a perfect fit for my camera, and that it provided a nice balance of protection and features vs. size/weight. It has plenty of room for my camera with the wrist strap attached, and has separate pockets for a spare battery, an Air Tag, and a small cleaning cloth. Though the carry strap that is provided would be fine for most uses, I swapped a 1-inch strap to make the case hang comfortably in a cross-body configuration for long days in the saddle. I was surprised at how inexpensive this case was, considering the quality.

Perfect Fitted Case for the RX100
It's very well constructed, has 3 zippered pockets, and a very good fit, finish and size.It has a shoulder strap. It has a good backing and padding on all sides sides which means it can be handled carelessly. It also has a belt strap with a metal button clasp for easy attachment to belt. The blue accent color looks very nice and so does the other material. It's all put together well. The zippers are also well constructed and move easily, but with the right amount of force. There's a double zipper on the camera pocket. The first front pocket has a thin netted pocket for SD cards. It has enough room for the micro USB charging cable. The third pocket has enough room for 2 batteriesWhen it's stuffed with all of the above, it maintains its shape and is no wider than 4 finger or a small palm on any side.Excellent case. Highly Recommended.
