Very good book. It doesn’t contain the overwhelming amount of detailed information that’s in the Southern Living Garden Book, but provides more advice. They are very complimentary books. I was very pleased with the section dealing with grass selections, as moving from costal Louisiana to Central Arkansas requires a complete re-education! I am very satisfied with my purchase.

This is so neat! I’m from Arkansas, and this is so helpful when deciding what to plant. It tells you the basics of all kinds of southern plants.

Wonderful book with such vivid colored picture galleries set up into categories: trees, shrubs, edibles, ground covers etc! Very handy tool!

A practical and achievable guide to gardening in the southern hardiness zones. It will help you know what to plant and what not to plant (See Marden's previous book, Plant This Instead). He bases his advice on many years of trial and error and answers all of those questions about watering, pruning, feeding, pest control and problem solving. Helpful for new and veteran gardeners.

Excellent book if you live in the South. Highly recommend.

Just moved to Arkansas from Colorado and the book has been a great help. Have all next winter to read cover to cover, but has already provided great reference.
