Short and sweet.
These little books are great for finding out how to grow things that might be difficult to figure out. I wanted to try growing blueberries in eastern Washington state as I love to eat the little goodies. Alas, blueberries don't like our alkaline soil or sour hot and cold seasons. Just about the time you think things are going well, the plant dies. I concluded that it is far easier just to wait until they are in season, buy a bunch and freeze a lot and eat the rest. None of this is to blame the book, it supplies plenty of info if you want to go to all the trouble to raise enough to make you happy after all the animals, birds and weather take their toll on them. The book is great and full of info and is well worth the price. I just find it easier to buy my blueberries.

I have been growing blueberries for over 5 years and still had questions. This small book answered my questions about pruning, diseases, pests, and when to pick.

Very Basic Info
I normally give high praise to any of the Storey Guides, as they are one of the series of books and bulletins a lot of farmers rely on. I am in the process of planning to install blueberries on my own farm and purchased this bulletin as part of my research. The information was so basic and not as thorough as information I looked up on line through websites like Virginia Tech. It is inexpensive and gives good basic info, but the same info can be attained on-line.

Very clear concise information
Like the rest of the Storey bulletins I have acquired, this one is very clear and concise. All of them have been around 30 pages but are a wealth of useable information. If you plan to start a blueberry farming business you really need more information than provided here but if like me you are planting a few blueberry bushes around the yard this is the book for you.
