Buy a 1/2 dozen and give them to every hunter you know
This is a great read for anyone who hunts and, frankly, should be required reading. The author does a great job of resetting the hunter's mind that we do this for recreation and we ultimately owe it to the game we pursue to be out there for the right reasons and to do our best to be as sportsmanlike as possible and strive for clean, quick, ethical kills.

I had heard of it over and over and got curious.
I had heard of it over and over and got curious. Apparently a classic staple. Quick read. Any topic on ethics cant be a bad thing. More people need to be exposed. And reenforcement never hurts either.

Quick simple read good for the uninitiated
I was required to read this book for Hunter's Safety and found it to be easy, poignant, and enjoyable. Much of what was covered were values already instilled in me by my home and principles I learned in Scouting. However, knowing not everyone has this background, I was pleased to see the author clearly articulate the ethics of hunting in a way that celebrated the journey and made clear that the kill is not necessarily the most important part of hunting. Bonus points for the author writing about many places in my own "backyard" I know and have visited.

read it
My step-daughter received this book when she took Montana hunter safety course about 6 years age. She now lives in Michigan where they hunt bear with dogs and bait. I sent her this book to tell her there's ethic ways to hunt.

Short and simple
This is a very small book, it is an easy read, took me about an hour or so. It doesn't go into tons of detail on ethics, it just touches on them. A good entry level book if you're looking to get your feet wet on hunting ethics as a true beginner.

Important Book About the Ethics of Hunting
An important book discussing about the ethics of fair chase. Hunting is becoming less and less common these days, and the stigma towards it is growing as the urban population becomes larger. A good book discussing the difficulties of hunting and the mind setone should adopt.
