It will work with any caulk the lighter the caulk the less thrust you have to apply to get it to come out that's all.

No it isn't. I use mine at least 3 times a week and if you dont release the pressure it will continue to drip. On the positive side. It is the best gun I have ever owned. Absolutely effortless to use, even with cold thick products. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a very well built effortless caulking gun.
