Healthier delight for hotheads
Two words: olive oil. I'm a hothead through and through, and if I'm using chili oil, I'm usually smothering my food with it. I don't want to be dumping a tablespoon of soybean, peanut or corn oil on my dishes, so when we've made similar oils at home, we always use avocado or a similar neutral oil. I never thought olive oil would work, but somehow, this does. It's also free of MSG, but if you are one of the rare people that's hypersensitive to added glutamate, this does have a natural source (mushroom extract). It doesn't taste aggressively savory though, so I believe most would be fine using this with a meal – your mileage may vary, however. The spice level, well, if you're a hothead, this is the right level for you. I can't speak to the flavor of the other varieties in comparison, but it has enough flavor and the spice I'm looking for.Downsides – the price. If you use a tiny bit as a condiment it might be fine, but I used half the bottle up within about a week just experimenting. It's also *very* crunchy, so it's not quite reminiscent of most Thai or Sichuan style chili oils I've tried. I tend to use more Sichuan peppercorn and garlic in mine as well. That said, this mix is good at what it does and getting that crunch is difficult. I think I'll blend this into my own mixes in the future, and I've already been mixing it into salad oil or mixing it on my plate. I'd say it's worth a shot for most, though those that don't really like it hot might want to drop down one spice level.

Delicious... But Whoa Flaming Hot!!
This one is a bit too spicy for me but still has that delicious crunchy chi chi flavor. I have tried their other flavors and they are all soooo good! Great company as well that takes their customer service seriously, I had a jar show up with just a slight dent in the cap so I contacted them and was refunded immediately! If you don't like the product or have any issue at all just contact them, they will refund you on the spot! But I assure you that you will fall in love with their variety of flavors! I'm a regular for purchasing Chi Chi Products and I don't know how anyone can't be dissatisfied with this company. I'm a Customer Service Supervisor for a large company and I have never experienced the AMAZING customer service that I have received from them before. I will say this again because I love it so much. Me and my friends want to see this product at Whole Foods!!!!! Not that we don't mind ordering from Amazon but having it in your local grocery store gives us quicker access!!!! 5 star review, no doubt!

Spiciest Chili Crisp I've Had
I've tried the standard chili crisps you can buy at any Asian mart and this is by far the spiciest I've had. For that, my ratings score high. To get the heat level I like though, I had to spend 5x more compared to simliar products. Don't know if that's worth the upcharge...

George likes his chicken spicy…
Wooohh this s*** is hotttt. Got this cause other chili oils like Lao Gan Ma and Lee Kum Kee Chiu Chow weren’t quite cuttin’ it in the spiciness dept. Dumped a heaping spoonful of this right on top of some steamed dumprings and I gotta say, a little too hot lol. I love spicy food but only up to a point, beyond which I can’t enjoy my meal. Wound up diluting it with lesser weak sauce about 50/50 ratio and it was just right. Still give it 5 stars because it delivers what it promises.

super hot - and nicely complex
i thought i had a fairly high tolerance for heat, but chi chi fire set me straight. It's hot as heck, but somehow the heat doesn't come at the expense of flavor or complexity, like many other hot sauces and hot oils, which is what really sets this one apart. i use it on everything - including ice cream, like fly by jing suggests. i also like that the jar is about twice the size as most other chili crisps out there, so one is free to use *way* too much whenever one wants. (side notes: my gold standard for flavor is momofuku (price points be damned), and while i liked fly by jing, it wasn't complex or powerful [it's also mostly oil, unlike chi chi and momofuku, which are chock full of crunchy bits, but i note that only as a difference, not as a drawback]).

Good to try for once. Overall 3/5
Spicy: 3.5/5Crunchy: 4.5/5Quantity: 2.5/5Quality: 4/5Taste: 4/5Value for money 3.5/5For those who've tasted ghost peppers & carolina reapers, this taste is far far mild from that, not spicy at all in fact, compared to those 2.Peppers are crunchy & yummy, which is the best thing about these.Quantity IMO is way less, I feel overcharged. I've ate small bites of this I think for just 4 times & almost 45% content is gone!Quality is great, I love the aromatic tasty oil. I wish they'd gone with extra virgin olive oil, but it's fine.Overall, these taste really great. Good to try once.Pretty average on value for money, as quantity is way less for 21 bucks.

this is the boldest, hottest, and most deliciois chili oil ever!
I have tried all the Chi Chi Pepper Chili Oils. It is the best on the market, it's fresh, spicy, and bold! Bold I mean the hotness and the fullness of its flavor - ghost pepper and Habanero!!! I was just in heaven when I opened the beautifully designed jar, the aroma gave me a "wooow" then "huuum". They are not cheap, BUT you get what you paid for! This is not those factory-made overseas products. It's worth every penny for me because I am a passionate spicy lover! Ghost pepper habaneros are expensive, and good ghost pepper is hard to find.I like it HOT! This is definitely five stars HOT!I used to buy those tiny super spicy bottle from a spicy boutique store. It is full of unknown chemicals that one drop your whole plate will be spicy. I am over that now. Chi Chi Pepper is the fresh real deal, I will totally recommend it!
