Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide Volume 49: Batman’s Rogues Gallery (OVERSTREET COMIC BOOK PG SC)

I have been buying the new edition of the Overstreet Price Guide each year for over 30 years without any problems. However after reading the other reviews about missing pages, I checked as soon as I opened the package and sure enough I had both duplicate and missing pages. I am returning for a replacement.Update: the replacement arrived in 2 days with all pages.

Once, long ago, when I was more involved with comics as a buyer, seller and collector, I lived and breathed by this big book called the Overstreet Price Guide.Now, decades later, and just a simple reader, I've still got a closet and a half of white boxes. I don't revalue them every year (and try to give away a couple hundred each Halloween), but I still like to pick up a copy of this massive tome every other year.And, my, how it's grown!Always the first choice as a basis for pricing, valuing and studying comic book price movement, it's added so much more to the experience.Critical market data about all eras of comics (not just the "big guys"). Industry and market commentary. Intriguing historical articles and more. Heck, even the advertisements are entertaining. The only drawback might be you need to work out a little before trying to lift it!Great as ever and getting better each year. Nothing tops the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide for the comics enthusiast, collector, merchandiser or even old-time readers like me.

The font size is so tiny I need a magnifying glass to read the words. And even then it's a struggle.Yet large font size is used for all the ads.JUST FOUND OUT AFTER WASTING AN ENTIRE DAY LISTING A CERTAIN COMIC SERIES ON EBAY THAT OVERSTREET INCLUDES LOTS OF INCORRECT INFORMATION THAT MISLED ME INTO BELIEVING THE COMICS WERE WORTH A LOT INSTEAD OF WORTHLESS. I'M THANKFUL THAT MY BROTHER CAUGHT THE ERROR BEFORE I WASTED ANYMORE OF MY TIME.Think TWICE about wasting your money on this inaccurate book. It was put together by a bunch of lazy people who just want to make money. SOMEONE NEEDS TO SUE THESE CREEPS.

I found that I have the same issue as others with duplicate pages and entire sections totally missing from the book double pages of 609-656 and completely missing pages 657-704

Print too small to be useful. Book needs to be at least 8x10. Bigger in a magazine format would be better with two versions - Marvel and DC.

I was just looking for a particular comic in my book and found there are missing pages (the comic isn't listed because of this), as well as duplicate pages in my copy. It says my Return Window closed on August 22nd, and this is Sept 4th! Not fair! This book has over 1200 pages. Was I supposed to check them all as soon as I got the book? Can I still get a replacement?

If you’ve just spent lock down cataloguing your attic collection this is the book for you - you know it’s only near mint if you haven’t read it don’t you

Mon avis sur ce type de publication reste partagé. Autant les articles en début de volume peuvent être très intéressants, rédigés par des spécialistes du marché et dégageant des tendances récentes et des analyses fines, autant la cote brute de milliers de comics révisée seulement une fois par an paraît hasardeuse et très imprécise. Globalement, sur le Silver Age (mon credo de prédilection), les prix annoncés sont 30% à 40% plus élevés que la réalité pour les exemplaires VF et moins. Inversement, les exemplaires 9.2 et plus semblent sous-cotés largement.Mais comment maintenir une telle base de données à jour chaque année en tenant compte de toutes les tendances ou effets de mode du marché ? C'est presque impossible. Le Golden Age semble épargné et reflète à peu près la réalité du marché.A noter également la masse invraisemblable de publicités qui phagocytent pratiquement 1 tiers du bouquin.

I buy this for my husband every year -- but it's gotten to the point the font is so small, its no longer a useful tool. Too bad. I'm sure customers would love a large or even normal format issue....even if it ended up much larger or in two books..

Book arrived in new condition and I went looking for Spider-Man and Spectacular Spider-Man only to find that the pages that had the information I was looking for was not there. Pages 993-1040 are not there, not ripped out, not damaged, they were never attached to the book when it was made. Disappointing to say the least.
