Haven't used this much; stuck it to side of sheet metal angle: nice magnets. Used it opened 180° flat to level a couple surveyor's tripods last week - quicker/easier than a torpedo level. Stars given for vertical use and tripods, in comparison with other brands, price point: all in store competitor post levels I've seen are fixed, not hinged. This can invert on hinge and magnet into a metal angle.

It works fine and multiuse
A hole was not provided in level so you could hang it on Peck so I drilled a hole in the appropriate place and it worked fine manufacturer could’ve done the same

Wonder how your going to do that job yourself?This is a great tool to strap to the post. You can look at a glance. Very accurate. Great level.

Good idea falls short of practical applicability
On the first attachment to a 5" vinyl post, the elastic band (which reportedly is designed to hold it in place), pulled the unit hard enough to not have it rest fully against the surface of the post, resulting in not being able to level either direction. When I attempted to adjust the elastic band, it split through the pre-cut holes, leaving it useless.The band should have been designed more like a belt, adjustable to the pole size and not one-size-fits-all elastic strap. When I get time, or upon the next fence installation, I will try to figure out a new strap and maybe the unit will work as described.

Fell apart upon first use
The little level tubes popped out and would not stay in after. Cheaply made
