I ordered these and they really are a good alternative to my halogens, I would say colour wise they are similar but they are noticeably brighter than their halogen equivalents. I can't comment on their longevity yet but am hopeful they will last as long as their quoted expectancy. On a down side check all the bulbs are not damaged upon receipt, one of mine was cracked and I had already installed 8, this wouldn't have been a major problem if Amazon's customer service wasn't so hapless. I know they are sold as a 10 pack, but effectively given that they come in 10 individual boxes that are shrink wrapped together and are exactly the same as the single item listing below I thought it would be common sense for Amazon to send out a single item and me return the faulty bulb. Obviously that is too simple, Amazon require me to take all the fitted bulbs back out and box them back up and return for a refund and then order again. I run an art gallery with 42 lights & have tried various GU10 LED bulbs, ranging from £3 to £25 each, to replace the GU10 50W halogens we normally use.These Sebson 380lm bulbs are the first to be as truly bright as the 50W halogen bulbs & have a winder beam angle then the other LED bulbs I've previously tried. The light is not as warm as the halogens but still acceptable.Having just installed them it is too early to comment on life span but I hope it is longer then the previous bulbs I've tried, many of which last a fraction of the quoted life span.The build quality looks to be very good especially when compared to some of the bulbs (usually cheaper) purchased in the past. The LEDs are covered with a frosted glass which adds to the quality feel of the bulbs unlike other similar products that have no glass protecting the LEDs.These bulbs are the same size a standard halogen bulbs and fit all our light fittings.If you are looking to replace 50W halogens I would suggest looking at more than just price. I have found out the hard way that cheaper is not always the way to go. So far I've been very impressed with these Sebson bulbs.

I bought these to replace 50W Halogen bulbs in my bathroom (2 had blown so I thought I might as well replace them all).I would say the light put out by these is at least as bright, perhaps a little brighter. The colour temp on these is also a bit "brighter", I find these MUCH better in my bathroom than the old halogens, but I'm hesitant to replace the hallway ones as it might feel a little bit too bright.The quality of them seems high, they feel solid and when you look at them when they are on you can't really tell they are different to other types of lights. Saying that, one of the 4 that I received did not work when I plugged it in, so have returned that one for a refund.I am not an expert on these types of lights but I would recommend these, particularly these 5W ones were great for the bathroom.

Tired of constantly replacing my eight kitchen light halogen bulbs that appeared to pop every five minutes, I decided to opt for these LED bulbs after reading the great Amazon reviews.They have now been in place for many weeks and all are still working perfectly. I have never lasted this long without bulbs going! On the first evening, we compared the two: the result was identical (in terms of brightness and warmth of glow). The only noticeable tiny difference (when compared side by side with halogen) is that you can see a small ring of little circles on the LED bulb whereas the Halogen was a constant colour across the bulb. That said, this made absolutely no difference to the lighting of the room.We have an electricity consumption monitor that glows red/amber/green depending on how much electricity the house is consuming. Prior to fitting eight of these bulbs in my kitchen, the monitor varied between red and mostly amber. As soon as we fitted the eight LED bulbs in place of our former halogen bulbs, the monitor instantly changed to mainly green (we had NEVER seen it green before) and sometimes amber when the dishwasher and tumble dryer are both on. I can't believe that changing the light bulbs in one room has made such a difference to the whole house's consumption of electricity.My only regret is not making the switch sooner.

So far so good....product arrived very quickly. Too quickly in fact as it meant I had to install the new light fitting that I bought the LED lamps for.They are warmer than the halogens they were intended to replace, giving off a light more akin to tungsten bulbs which is pleasing.Also, as desired, they provide a spread of light rather than a narrow beam.Another comment stated the lights do not get hot, which isn't correct for my ones. Still, if they last as long as they're supposed to, I won't be burning my fingers any time soon.Nice to know that the 6 bulb light fitting will now consume less electricity than just one of the old halogens! I'll see how reliable these LEDs are, and after using the four spare LED lamps will then probably purchase more for elsewhere in the house
