The Bridgertons: Happily Ever After Kindle Edition

I returned this book after I saw the first entry - I have read all the books in the Bridgerton series, loved them all, but this book was just a repeat of the final stories in each of these books, with a short story about Violet at the end. I was quite disappointed, since I was expecting more from this author. Bottom line: if you have read the series, don't bother with this book!

Love all the epilogues and LOVE Violet In Bloom! Such a sweet novella devoted to the mother of the Bridgertons.My only complaint is that I wish there had of been a little bit more in the end of Lucy and Gregory's 2nd epilogue. She's really ill, and obviously going to recover, but it is not written that this happened. I wish it had of been confirmed in a more happy way.

Having read all the other books in the series, I was disappointed to learn - after buying this book - that it was a repeat collection of the 'second epilogue' sections in the earlier books.Thank goodness Amazon was willing to allow me to return the book for a full refund.

So far the second epilogue of "The Duke And I" is a little annoying, as the characters keep chatting about nothing else other than Daphne being pregnant for a fifth time. I'm hoping it gets better towards the end. So far I'm giving it 2 stars that may improve as I read on... There will be updates

If you purchased the other books in the Bridgerton's series than you already have all but one chapter of this book. It is a combination of all the second epilogues that are included in her novels.Still a very good read. Just wasn't worth it to me when I'd already read almost the entire book.

What anyone needs is more Bridgertons. I was happy with the epilogue's we got in each of the couple's books, but this was just a nice cherry on the top. I really loved visiting my favourite couples again.

Loved having all the Bridgerton family come to life again..super terrific in fact. I love Julia Quinn's books. Such fun to read what happened later. Makes me want to have all of the series stacked up beside me, to read and savor again! Seems like there is a whole lot more to be written about each, on to Violets grandchildren maybe the great grands too!

I'm very glad Julia wrote this! It answered all the questions her readers have had about the characters and we finally got to see how it all began with Edmund and Violet.

A lovely end to a riveting series!I picked up this book of second epilogues, though many copies of the books I had already downloaded had them within.When you become invested in a series, it's easy to be left feeling a little empty. You want to know what happens after the 'Happily Ever After'.These second epilogues all follow the stories of each sibling. Some a few years later, some more, some less, but they tie up the stories even more firmly than the original epilogues.And the addition of a short novella focussing on Violet, the matriarch of the family was a lovely surprise too!My #Bridgertonuary is complete, though I have now realised that there are a few other books I could read, The Rokesby collection, which is a series of 4 books that are set pre this particular Bridgerton clan, and work as prequels.They may just be another set I have to read!

Loved the way it ties up all the stories. These romances are clever, funny (especially the men who seem to be outfoxed by the women most of the time but have some brilliant one-liners that make you laugh out loud) - I still can’t decide who I like best but I think Simon and Anthony are at the top of the list, one because he’s just so adorable and funny and the other because he tries so hard but his wife always gets him in the end - which he does seem to enjoy rather a lot!

To be honest, I was seriously looking forward to reading these second epilogues and having a chance to delve into the Bridgerton's lives again. Once I started reading through, I realized that it wasn't what I had hoped it would be. For one thing, it had been a long time since I read the series that it took time to get back into the swing of things.I enjoyed reading about supporting characters and seeing their happy endings, however I was hoping for more of the 8 siblings and less of the supporting characters. I know it's difficult to write a second epilogue, and Julia Quinn did a decent job, although sometimes it seemed random, it was still decent.The one thing I really didn't want to read about was Violet's story. She has been such a great character in every single one of the series. An amazing mother, a beautiful, elegant lady and a wonderful role model to all, that it was a bit strange for me to see her as the young girl she was when she met their father and fell for him. I definitely did not want to read about her sexual escapades with him either, having been that fictional mother figure to all. I was saddened at how he died, but I felt if Quinn was going to tell her story, she deserved a full-length novel, rather than a shortened, rushed version of it.It was sweet to read about the Bridgertons again, but not what I had hoped it would be. I admit to feeling slight disappointment.

This was a great way to finish the stories of the whole family! My only thing and it’s more of an annoyance is that, in the versions of the previous 8 books they had already added the second epilogues so there was only one chapter and violets story that I hadn’t read in the last month! Something to note! The series overall is great. I half expected to be reading a similar story as the first for each sibling and was pleasantly surprised that this was not the case. Would recommend.

I really bought this book because I wanted to know if Francesca in 'When He Was Wicked' ever had the children she desperately wanted. I got that answer with a lovely second epilogue which JQ has said is the favourite thing she has written. I loved it as well. In fact I loved all of the 2nd epilogues and also enjoyed Violet's story even though it was bitter sweet. I fell in love with Edmund very quickly reading this short novella so found the ending very sad.I heartily recommend this book for all who have enjoyed the Bridgerton family saga.ETA:Curious though that Violet says she is an only child to Edmund but in 'An Offer From A Gentleman' Hyacinth is babysitting her cousins, who Violet tells Sophie are the children of her youngest sister.
