used on aftermarket radio
i used this on an aftermarket radio, i did cut off the plastic 'legs' that stick out from the round section so it would connect to the factory gps antenna connector, it works great with the aftermarket radio, screwed into the radio and the gps works great

Fakra, fakyes!
Don't use the little stick-on antenna that came with your aftermarket head unit, use this to connect your new nav unit with your superior existing antenna. This works great in A3 8P, and many other Audi VW models. Even for many cars that didn't have nav head unit, there is often a very good GPS antenna installed, anyway, and a hidden connection in back (so you need a longer connector). If your car did have an OEM nav head unit with the Fakra cable connection to the antenna, you just need this little pigtail to use your existing GPS antenna with an aftermarket head unit like the Xtrons Android I installed in my 2012.

Modification needed for my vehicle.
Didn't fit my Dodge as there was a small rib in the way. I carefully cut the rib off, and it worked perfectly.

Good factory connection
I purchased an Android radio for my Jeep that had a separate GPS box to use. I didn't want to run a new wire for the GPS and I didn't want to stick a box to my windshield or dash so I found this cable. Perfect connection to hook your radio to your factory GPS already in your car. Great quality and easy to connect..

Works Great! (With a little modification)
I used this cable to connect an Android radio to the rooftop GPS antenna on my ‘14 Ram 1500. There are two guide ribs on the Fakra connector that must be cut down flush with the body of the connector so it will properly mate with the existing factory GPS connector. Once that’s done it locks into place. The rooftop antenna delivers a much better GPS signal to the radio than the GPS antenna that came with the radio as the rooftop “sees” more satellites. It appears to be built well and works fine.

Hyundai Tucson 2013 - allowed to use car GPS in aftermarket Android audio unit
I put aftermarket Android radio in my car and it came with it's own cheap GPS unit. When connected it barely registered 2 satellites and coverage was spotty at best. This adapter allowed to connect car's OEM GPS unit - what a difference.

Seems like a quality item, the connectors fit perfectly, adapter is precisely machined. Allowed my newer android head unit to get the signal from the factory car antenna. Good stuff

Fits just fine in my challenger after replacing stock head unit with a android one and to retain use of oem roof mounted gps antenna

Purchased this and another cable to connect to OEM GPS system in car to the new android tv system. but this cable was way too short. I've asked seller if they sell a longer version
