Great Story

Unpredictable, funny, surprising, and engaging! Well done!

Just wanted to listen this morning, to a relaxing and enjoyable tale.It's by no means, a laugh out loud comedy, but certainly enjoyable in every sense. Cast was exceptional.

Plot Summary (No spoilers!): I am using the published plot summary b/c I couldn’t say it better! “President David Murray starts the day in crisis. He’s lost control of Congress, has to decide whether to run for a second term, and his wife and teenage daughter are barely talking to him. What’s more, the Angel of Death has sent a rather inept “repo man” who is at the foot of his bed, giving him only one more day to live.”What you liked: The cast was spectacular, and the story was surprisingly funny and painful all at the same time. While it starts a bit stiff and jocular, you are caught at the end by the emotion of the story and characters. It made me think about how I would feel and what I would do in the same situation.What you did not like: I had difficulty a few times hearing the dialogue, but that was a minimal problem.If audiobook, performance thoughts: Amazing cast!

This was a sweet little story with a moral to consider. Think Aesop, Hollywood-style. It was a funny and simple look at what one might strive to accomplish with very little time left to live.

This was an Audible production by Billy Crystal. David wakes up to a really bad start. He is being visited by an agent of the Angel of Death who is here to collect him. David, being an excellent negotiator, bargains for a full day before being “collected”. It turns out that David is no ordinary man; he is president of the United States. As he works to live his last day as his best, his staff and wife begin to worry that he has lost his mind. No one can see his collection angel, except one other person, where the story takes an unexpected twist. The play has great audio actors and a clever repartee, along with an inventive plot.

This is an amazing collaboration! All of the actors who participated in this audio presentation brought the story to life!I really enjoyed listening to this story. It has so many eye-opening moments that can be life changing for you, if you listen with your heart, not just your ears. There were times when I laughed and others where I wanted to cry.The message is simple, "Have a nice day!"
