Pacsafe Carrysafe 200 Anti-Theft Shoulder Strap

Most comfortable camera strap I have used. Nice and wide and the extra padding is great. I am always looking for a better camera strap. I often find myself toting the camera and a telephoto lens (not one of todays plastic and acrylic lenses but a good old 1980's Minolta metal and glass beercan) and after several hours, my neck is usually screaming. I bought this one to try on a three week trip and although a little bulkier and heavier than normal for a camera strap, I found the extra width and the adjustable padding to be a magnificent addition to my photography experience. I went to Ace hardware and got some locking S-carabiners to mount on the camera and the pac-safe lock snaps right on.

Best messenger bag strap I've ever owned. Comfortable, easily adjusted, cut-proof and with locking clasps. This is the second of these I've bought, one for each messenger bag I own (one for every day, one an emergency go-bag). There's nothing really more to say, they're the perfect bag strap.I'm a bit puzzled as to why the review page offered a Warmth rating option on this though, since it's not warm at all because shoulder straps aren't supposed to be warm.

What's the point of having a slash proof strap if it has to connect to the camera with the slashable nylon strap that came with the camera?

I've used Pacsafe products for years. They've all been great, till this one. The clips that attach the strap to the bag are made of metal. However, the little collar that locks the clips is made of poor quality PLASTIC. Mine arrived from Amazon with one of the plastic collars split in two. I contacted Pacsafe to see if I could replacement parts from them instead of dealing with returning the whole thing. They couldn't do anything except to suggest exchanging the whole thing. I decided to jury rig it with a piece that I cut from a Papermate pen. Not as elegant, but it won't break like the Pacsafe ones did/will.Also, as other have mentioned, there will still be a weak link in this security system on whatever bag the strap is clipped to. I'll be reinforcing the strap on the bag where it connects to the clip anchor somehow. Still figuring that one out. Might wrap it in soft copper flashing and covering that with gaffers tape to make it slash proof.So, one star off for the cheap plastic part, one star off for Pacsafe's customer no service.

This is an excellent replacement for you Branded Camera or Case Strap. The marketing should be clearer in stating that it is best suited for the camera bag or case and that it will not attach directly to your camera without extension camera straps. The metal clips are too large to hook to a camera bracket without damaging the camera. I was able to contact the distributor and they sent the extension straps.I feel more secure that a thief may not be able to cut the strap and run but with all of the promotional advertising about cut straps, I am not sure that a thief would not cut me!!

Once I finally received the correct item from supplier, I was very pleased with the item. Too bad that I had to buy it in the first place. PacSafe should have included a soft cushioned, padded shoulder pad on the strap with the bag in the first place but they didn't.Anyway, I ordered this strap only because of the cushioned pad that I needed. The bare strap that came with the bag cut into my shoulder and also caused the bag to slip around excessively.But when I received my order it was not my shoulder strap with pad. Instead the supplier sent me another, totally different bag! They did email me a return UPS label but unfortunately, I had to drive into town to a UPS drop off store and pay an additional $2 charge for the drop off. I have yet to be reimbursed for that fee.Eventually, I received the correct item (shoulder strap with pad) and I am pleased with it and can now carry my bag comfortably.

Bought the strap for my purse/camera bag to protect from theft overseas. However, the turn and lock system on the hooks is a very poor design. Locks were unlocking as I simply was adjusting the length on the strap. Even in the "locked" position, it was not tight. I certainly would not try to use it to hold an expensive camera. I will be adding a velcro strip on each side to keep this attached to my bag!

About two or three years ago, when I purchased my first one, the strap would only adjust on one side of the sholder pad... now there are adjustible buckles on BOTH sides of the shoulder pad, making it easy now to center camera where you want it. The strap itself is made VERY well. This is MUCH better than the Carrysafe 100 because THIS strap uses NO unreinforced webbing anywhere between the strap and the connectors. I highly recommend that anyone going out into the public with pro level photo gear to get THIS strap
