This fan works great, I wanted it for a small space to keep constant oscillating air movement. And it's quiet enough (on low) that I don't notice it running, It does blow the air out sideways instead of in front like some people say but that doesn't really affect what I'm using it for. I've had it oscillating on low for several weeks straight with no issues.

Just add an Alexa smart plug and you will have your wish. The key is that this fan has a mechanical switch so you can turn the unit off and on from the wall. You can't do that with 99% of the tower fans available on Amazon because they are all "Advanced" and use electronics to support their dumb, old fashioned proprietary remote controls.I DON'T NEED TO SET THE SPEED, TURN THE OSCILLATION ON/OFF, ETC ETC ETC. I JUST WANT TO TURN THE FAN ON WHEN I AM HOT, OFF WHEN I AM COLD! JEEEZ.Why Amazon makes it so hard to find this puppy is beyond me. Why fan manufacturers don't jump on the Alexa band wagon is a mystery.Did I mention that this fan WORKS WITH ALEXA?

Holmes Oscillating Tower Fan with 3 Speed Settings, 31 Inch, WhiteI ordered this to use in my bedroom. It was easy and quick to assemble (which entails screwing the base onto the tower). This is a very basic fan, with no remote control or timer, but I have it plugged into an Alexa-compatible smart plug which allows me to control it by voice, phone and pre-set routines. The fan offers a choice of 3 speeds and oscillation or stationary operation. It's less visually obtrusive in a room than many other tower fans due to its size. Very stable as well as there is no pedestal.At first I was concerned that this relatively compact fan wouldn't move enough air, but it moves plenty of air to keep my bedroom cool. I'm a hot sleeper and this fan has kept me comfortable. It's also very quiet considering how effective it is and the strength of the airflow. The smaller size and carry handle also make it easy to move from room to room.Comes with a 3 year warranty. I've had a different Holmes tower fan for about 15 years and still use it daily, so I'm not concerned about the durability of this new one, but it's nice to know they back up their products.

OMG 😲 ! What a great fan! So much better than the oscillating circular fan I was using ! On low speed it has the whole livng room almost frozen ! I can feel the breeze on low from over six feet away ! The base is slightly wobbly , but even handicapped with multiple sclerosis I'm completely capable of not bumping into the fan. The fan does not wobble at all by itself even while oscillating. Other reviews had me worried about the product but I am so pleasantly surprised ! And so inexpensive for a known name brand!

I got this for use in my living room. I have an older house (1950) that has no central A/C and the only window in the main living space large enough for an A/C is the dinning room. So I just wanted something to help push the cooler air around the "L" shape of the living room/dinning room.So far the fan is still working, and does an OK job. The power of this fan is fairly weak across any distance, in anything larger than a small bedroom you will probably always use the highest speed setting (of which there are three). The oscillating feature works well, and actually sweeps a somewhat large arc. Larger than I had thought it would.The sound of it is a little louder than I would have expected for the air volume it pushes. Regular circular fans seam quieter to me when set to a comparable level of air flow.Quality of construction does not leave me overly impressed, cheap plasitc all around and the tower itself feels a bit wobbly. It's secured to the base with 3 screws, and that part is fine, but it's still not overly stable. I have no fear of it falling over, it's no where near that bad, but if you touch it you don't get that solid feel to it. Hard to explain.

Back in May I ordered this fan for family member. I gave it to her end of June. Putting it together was simple and I own several Holmes products and always considered them quality. That is until this tower fan entered my life. The packing and boxes were thrown away after fan seemed in good working order. Not even 3 weeks the fan began to not only sound like it was struggling for air but developed the LOUDEST cracking or clunking noise that would happen at least 3times every 15-20 minutes. By now its July and l didn't have original box or box it was shipped in anymore. The fan was perfect for need so even though I am unemployed, I had faith in Holmes products. Second fan arrived in crushed open box . Lo and behold this fan is loud on low and clunking constantly. And calling Holmes for help is waste of time. I lost money, & am so angry. Do not buy this fan if you like to sleep. I am so angry that I haven't notified Amazon yet because Holmes is no help (2 same model fans can't have same problem because they dont have any other complaints) and I no longer have original product box or box to ship fans in.

I love this fan, and for the price it perfectly suits our needs. We have it in the living area of our condo, where we cannot put in a ceiling fan. It sits in the corner next to the a/c vent, and circulates the air perfectly.You have to play around with positioning it. The oscillating has a fixed range, and we rotated the base until the air flowed over the room, and not blow air on the wall. The reverse if you just want a narrower section of the room with the air flow, is to rotate it so some of the air does blow on the wall. Combine with the variable speeds to get the amount of air you want to flow. At speed setting 3 it will push air about 15 feet, so position the fan further or closer to get more or less coverage.

Has 3 different speeds and has a rotating option. It works like any fan but is not the best on very hot days.

The set up was super easy for this. It’s not to loud which is nice if it’s going to be in a bedroom. It’s a good fan for a bedroom or smaller area, not to much power but a really good bang for your buck if you just need to get some air moving.

This fan was a joke. And for the price I was better off getting a $20 fan from Walmart. It was easy to assemble and quiet but the material was sooo cheap it felt like crap and so I knew it would be but tried it out anyway. Even on the highest setting I could barely feel it and was less than low on our other fan. Literally had to put it almost against myself in my office to feel the breeze. Don’t waste your money
