Great Quality
I was looking at variable ND filters, but was put off by reports of artefacts and colour cast, so opted for this and am glad I did. Filter is up to Hoya's usual standards and is a really good price for a 6 stopper; moving up to a 10 stop filter costs a lot more. There is no colour cast and quality of images through it are really good; they might be slightly softer, but I haven't really tested it and after sharpening I can't see a difference with other shots. 6 stops is enough for me so far too - stopping all the way down I can blur crowds in daylight and water and dusk/dark shots are no problem at all. Definitely recommended

Hoya 52mm Pro-1 Digital NDX64 Screw-in Filter
Fast delivery from Amazon Prime and at £26.45, reasonably priced. The filter seems to be well made and at 13 gr. quite heavy. I assume it is made from the Schott glass, with anodised magnesium frame. The glass coating is continuous and the glass thickness uniform [checked by my local Vision Express optician].The filter frame is serrated on perimeter, which facilitates tightening / easing of the filter. The thread on both sides is clean and perfectly round, which makes the filter fitting to lens [and lens hood to filter] very smooth. The legend on the frame identifies the filter as Hoya Pro-1 Made in Japan. The filter had no visible effect on AF accuracy, at 100% enlargement, but there was some loss of contrast across the entire filter area .... and slight colour shift [confirmed by the histogram]. Nothing that can't be fixed by custom white balance .... or resolved in Photoshop at the later stage. Overall, I liked the filter ... and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to my friends.

Hoya Pro series worth the extra
There is a limited availability of 82mm lens filters so I was pleased to find a this product within my price range. I was actually looking for a "big stopper" (10-stop ND filter) but this 6-stop version works very well especially if combined with a polariser (so 7-8 stops overall). The unit is more robust than cheaper ranges (the build quality is obvious) and, for me, most important, the thread catches well into the lens housing. Thus, it reduces the risk of thinking you have attached the filter only to have it fall in the sea or off the edge of a cliff. The price is fairly stiff but considerably more competitive than others in this class of unit.

Fantastic quality.
Again another fantastic Hoya product as I've stated in my other reviews for Hoya and other manufactures of filters Hoya I believe are truly the best and I would fully recommend this filter labeled ND64 it's great it really allows for that longer exposure I have carefully checked the filter for any signs of flaws and I am unable to find any not a single ripple or white spot on the entire surface. The threads as with all the other Hoya filters I own are just as silky smooth and I find it like the other Hoya filters very easy to match up to the lens thread and screw into place.I as with my other reviews would recommend the use of this Hoya branded ND64 filter. Please excuse lack of grammar punctuation and spelling I'm extremely dyslexic.

Excellent - choose this over a variable density filter!
Excellent filter - I'd recommend these for any lens. I chose the ND64 over a variable density filter, given the issues associated with using variable density filters on wide-angle lenses, and it gave me a good degree of flexibility for long exposures, even in very bright conditions. If you're deciding between an ND and variable density filter, I'd thoroughly recommend going for an ND64 (or higher) and use it with higher ISO values if necessary, rather than using lower densities, which would potentially only be more useful when you expect light levels to be low. Just a word of advice - try to avoid getting fingerprints on it - they will come off but it will require quite a bit of work with a good microfibre cloth!

Good but not perfect.
This filter will give you a lot of options for controlling apeture and shutter speeds for creative photography. It has virtually no colour cast and very little flare.Optically it does loose a little IQ which is more evident at lower aperture numbers but from f4 onwards it is quite acceptable, and to be honest you need to be pixel peeping to notice it.When comparing shots between with or without filter there does seem to be a little less detail on certain reflective surfaces but again is only noticable when actually looking for it.I highly recommend this filter at the Amazon price for the enthusiast but maybe not for the most discerning of photographers.

Hoya 67mm PRO-1 DIGITAL ND64 Filter
I purchased this for my Nikon D7000 to enable me to extend the shutter times to get trail lights and to blur moving water and I have to say the results have been very good so far, I will say I did spend a lot of time looking at various reviews of different brands ( but not tried the other filters so not fair of me to compare purely on other peoples reviews ) but I can say that this filter feels, looks and works very well, I would recommend this filter to anyone.

Whispy shots
Needs some practice to get the timings correct, but great effects. Keep a note of what you do - helps with the next time you take it out.

Très bon
Ce filtre est très bien et fait son travail. Pas de dominante chromatique et la définition de l'objectif est toujours là.

Good quality, nice coating. Made in Japan.
There is not much to say about a filter. The color is accurate. The coating is smooth. Note that many Hoya filters are made in the Philippines today. I am not trying to discriminate a particular country, but it is unfortunate that Hoya Philippines does not keep up to the high quality of the brand. This Pro1 series is still made in Japan.

Bon filtre mais pas essentiel
C'est un bon filtre, qui s'adapte très bien sur les appareils photo Sony alpha. Toute fois, son utilisation n'est pas indispensable pour obtenir de bonnes photos.
