The Essential Tarot: Unlocking the Mystery

This book is absolutely amazing. I've only been learning tarot for a couple of months, and to be honest all the different books I was reading to try to get to grips with it were all good, but told me different things. This book, and his others, are amazing. They really go beyond the traditional way to interpret the cards and give you a more modern and physiologically relevant way to look at the cards and the reading. Pitisci writes in a way that is easy to read, understand and is even funny in places. 110% would recommend, for anyone. His interpretation of the tarot is refreshing and enlightening, for anyone of any experience level.

This book is a no nonsense book on tarot cards. I found the book approachable, both for introduction to tarot and as a tarot reference book. Pitisci uses good key word descriptions for each tarot card. Very user friendly for a novice tarot reader. I especially like the illustrations with both the Rider Waite deck and the Tarot de Marseille deck, side by side, although I would have liked to see them in color, they are in black/white.

Vincent has really hit the nail on the head with his incite and understanding of the workings of the tarot. This will greatly expand your use of this system of thought. This is a must have book for your collection.Will take you too new levels of understanding.

Another easy read book by Vincent. I recommend all his books. Easy to read a whole different perspective into looking at the card's. This guy is a genius.
