PEBEO4Artist Marker, Duo Set, 4 mm - Gold & Silver

Extremely long dry time.
I used this over 2 days ago and in some spots the paint is still tacky, actually wetter than tacky. Not sure if this is some cruel joke but I’m really hoping it dries soon. Also coverage was not as good as I had hoped for an oil based marker. I’ll probably stick to deco art brand next time.

Can Do So Much With These Oil Markers
The Silver is my absolute favorite! (Just wanted to get that out there ;) I use these markers all the time; love how quickly the 4Artist oil paint markers dry, and there is soooo much paint in each marker. My favorite way to use the paint is to drip and spatter from the larger marker tips on my mixed media artwork...and I use the small tips to sign my artworks + outline my other shapes. Super cool that I can use the markers on canvas, glass, metal, acrylic and other non-porous surfaces (like resin and shiny ceramic pots, too). This is liquid oil paint and is rewettable with the 4Artist Odorless Medium (same as odorless mineral spirits I use for oil painting), so I use brushes with the Medium to blend the paints together to get the colors I want. I can even use the Odorless Medium to REMOVE the paint from glass, etc., even after it's dry. Caution: use the special Pebeo acrylic based liquid 4Artist varnishes to seal artwork that uses these markers and make them permanent! Other varnishes that contain any solvents - especially the spray varnishes - could rewet the paint and ruin your artwork. Also, the shiny finish is cool. :D Pebeo 4Artist Marker

MARKERS NOT Compatible with polyurethane protective gloss spray!!!
I am very upset about these markers. While they work nicely, are very bright and work well. They have an issue that was quite disturbing and I was not aware of. I used them to decorate a white pumpkin. I worked very hard on it and finished the pumpkin. It dried overnight, as I used the markers as well as acrylic paint as the markers don't come in very many colors. I used the black to outline the pattern that was very complicated, kind of a day of the dead sort of design. It was quite intricate. I went to put it outside, but first I wanted to spray it with a high gloss spray to protect it from the weatherr and give it a nice shiny gloss. The moment the gloss hit the pumpkin, the marker, especially the black, RAN all down the pumpkin and ruined my design and all my hard work from the hours I put into it the night before!! I was so upset. I'm not sure if the markers are not compatible with the spray or if they are not waterproof, but something is terribly wrong with them and I certainly am afraid to use them on the pumpkins again. Acrylic paint held up well, so I guess I'll stick to that. THUMBS DOWN.

Muy buenos pero....
Me encantan, tienen una excelente calidad en la tinta, la razon de 4 estrellas es porque se seca rapido la punta, no se como destapar la punta y seguir usando

Greatest paint- mechanical issues
The paint was excellent on the markers that worked. I have had two boxes. Three in one box and three out of the other had working nibs. The largest ones, only the gold works in one and the black and chrome work of set of three. Greatest paint I have ever used but mechanics were not. Between the two sets, I was able to get some of what I tried to accomplish done. Not all so frustrated.

Good marker, meh color
The tip is nice and fat. Pumping action works well and the paint holds in the tip for a good long while. However, the cap doesn't match the color very well. I was expecting a bright, shiny copper. This comes out as a dull, old penny.

Pretty average markers
I bought these for my black garden labels as the ones that came with them didn't work and supposed to be waterproof. They arrived on time and work, only problem they're a little watery. I use them but not as successful as I hoped.

good on non absorbent or shiney surfaces
the square ended silver is excellent on dark parcel tape while the gold seems less bright, the red is also brilliant, but the white not very bright , so l find the strength of colour a bit inconsitent

Nice pen, bought it to draw on my plain coffee and tea mugs. It lasts fairly well, though it does tend to scratch off. I assume a coat of some transparent sealant would solve the issue. Also love the fact that it can be removed with acetone, so I can do new designs when I'm bored. Overall, love it!

Does what it says
It is what it says it is but it is a little pricey for what it is. Still, good markers nonetheless.
