Perfect for any child who is having a hard time learning his/her colors!
My daughter is 2 1/2 years old. We have had an incredibly difficult time teaching her colors. We had consistently tried different techniques since she started speaking more fluently around 18 months of age - books, flash cards, markers, color pencils, crayons, & games. Nothing worked. I did some research and found a blog where a parent had used this dvd to teach her son his colors and was very successful. I figured that I had tried everything, so I might as well give it a shot. After three days of watching this dvd once a day in the morning, my daughter had learned all of the colors in the DVD: pink, purple, yellow, blue, green, orange, red, white, black & brown. My daughter went from not being able to identify any colors at all to identifying all 10 colors correctly and efficiently within a couple of days. I cannot tell you how happy her father and I am that we bought the DVD because it was COMPLETELY worth it. If your child is having a hard time, or if you're just starting out, I really do suggest trying this DVD out. We tried to teach our daughter her colors for a year with a variety of different materials and we were completely unsuccessful. This DVD presents the colors in a way that just happened to make sense to her and it was like a light switch went off in her head. She now runs around the house naming everything by its color. Get this DVD, I don't feel that you will regret it.

My Autistic Son Loves This- and He Knows His Colors!
I am almost always impressed with Baby Bumblebee. I am a DVD skeptic who will agree that sitting your child in front of the TV and rationalizing that they are "at least watching something educational" is a bad idea... But there is something about these videos. My son is 2 and a half and has autism. He is very bright, but we have been working on colors for a while now, with not a lot of success. Like many children on the autism spectrum, language isn't his strong point and he does not always readily repeat sounds or words. This video captivated him the first time he saw it- but he did not turn into a zombie, instead, he started repeating the names of the colors along with the video. Every time. By the next day, he was pointing out objects and naming their color. His favorite seems to be black, maybe because it's so easily identifiable and fun to say!

Excellent - very engaging!
Excellent introduction to colors! Very fun to watch. My daughter really enjoys it, and I enjoy watching it with her too, something I can't say for all children's DVDs!
