Q: How does the Super Resolution function work on this, and what setting should I use if i'm watching 1080p videos when my native res is set highest?

the super resolution upscales the input feed, if it's less then 1440p, up to 1440p I have not used it personally but given the seller advises against it, just, wow

Q: Has anyone tested the freesync with nvidia card ? Since nvidia now supports freesync.

As long as it supports freesync through DisplayPort you should be able to get variable refresh on a 10 series or newer Nvidia card.
