Amazing Value Subwoofer!
I've used JBL speakers in the past (mostly bluetooth speakers) so when I saw the GT-BassPro12 while looking for a subwoofer to compliment my 2018 Impreza's speaker system, I was immediately intrigued. I was going back and forth between buying a box and speaker and installing it all manually with an amp, but when I ran across this subwoofer it was almost too good to be true. Everything built into one tidy, clean and really good looking box for such a cheap price. After going into CarToys to listen to it, I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did. I've been using it for the past few months and I love it. It's super powerful and produces deep, clean, and punchy sounds. As far as capability goes, this thing is more than powerful enough, I keep it very low and yet it's over exceeds what I need. I listen to all types of music, so the included remote is handy to control the levels. It was simple to setup and didn't take much time except for the usual offenders (finding a hole in the firewall and routing cables). I haven't had any issues with the sub going out and it's been working flawlessly. It is a pretty hefty sub so if weight is a concern you may not want to go with this. It's not a deal breaker for me and honestly the weight helps it from sliding around. It doesn't take up too much space in my trunk considering it's a ported box. The back slopes perfectly to allow it to be pushed up against seats to save as much space as possible, which I really appreciate in my rather small car. It's obviously not as portable as a seat-shaker, but for the power it has, you can't beat it.For the price, you just can't beat the JBL GT-BassPro12, definitely recommend to anyone looking for an amazing subwoofer without destroying your wallet! If you have any questions at all, feel free to reach out, and I'd be glad to help!

Legitimately one of the best ive installed at this price point.
Purchased this and a Dual brand install kit.The install kit was trash. Cheap CCA wire and weak wire connectors. Its a 6 dollar copper coated aluminum kit disguised as a 30 dollar kitThis JBL Harmon (Of Harman Kardon) 12" dual coil sub and 150 watt Harman amplifier is a SbS home run! (SbS - single box solution) just dont get the 29.95 Dual install kit. - total junk-Unboxing reveals a 12" tuned and ported JBL Box with sub and amp built in.Install was in 2014 Taurus Police Interceptor, installed by running RCA inputs to both rear speakers, jumpered the blue (amp on/off wire) directly to positive terminal, turned the auto turn on switch to on, ran a 4 ga power wire from batt to amp, ground strap to rear decklidBoom! Green lite came on and this setup blew us away.Crisp clear 40 to 350hz adjustable bass, line level adjust and bass boost and this setup legitimately banged pretty hard.At its price point it is a winner! Youre not gonna win competitions with it,, but as a one box solution for ANY base model that needs some serious low end boost, look no further! Its quite impressive!Make sure you have a solid direct to battery connection and a solid less than a few feet ground and youll have enough power to run it well. The killer of setups like these is clipping from poor power supply conditions - that crackle when bass hits, contrary to popular belief- isnt too much power, its too little, and that will smoke the voice coils fast. Give it clean power and signal and dont expect windshield expanding bass notes (but good solid trunk rattling bass regardless) and you will be quite happy for the price. This is my 5th install of this model, 2014 Interceptor, 2005 Savana Hi Top van, 2010 Tahoe, 2005 Tahoe and 2007 Escalade. Each and every vehicle sounds spectacular!5 stars for sure!

I see you JBL
I previously had a West Coast Customs dual 10 inch sub and amp. Had it since 2014 and recently decided to upgrade the amp with a RockFord Fosgate amp which made the subs sound better than they previously did but something was off and did not sound right to me. Decided to return the Fosgate amp and throw the subs to my local thrift store.I came upon this JBL sub while looking for a new one. I could not believe the price so I did some research on it and liked what I saw so I took a swing and bought it. Arrived in excellent condition since it was double boxed. Comes with a remote to adjust the level from your sitting position but I do not want to use it. I used the previous 4awg cable I already have installed but unfortunately the wire is to thick for the input on the amp so I cut some of the wire off to make it fit. I don't think that is the right thing to do but desperate times call for desperate measures. At first I did a sloppy job at cutting and connecting the power cables to the inputs on the amp but it got the job done. Turned the radio on and the sub turned on as well so that was a good sign. At first impressions it sounded good and was exactly what I was looking for. But I was not satisfied with the was I put the power and ground cable to the amp so I took my time and did it right to make sure no cable strands were sticking out. I lowered the level knob a little below half and set the low pass a little above 80hz. Set the high pass filter on the stereo to 90hz so the speakers play nothing below that and holy smokes!! I hit the sweet spot. The bass is so deep and powerful you can feel it in your soul. It's not thumpy or boomy which is what I wanted. It almost sounds as good as my home theater sub. It reflects perfectly off the speakers which is what you want. It should not be directional to the point that you know the bass is coming for the sub in the back. It should sound that it is coming from the speakers.Never have I bothered with JBL products but now they have my attention. Definitely worth the money if you are looking for an all in one package. Nice and compact size and definitely excellent sound quality if you take your time to adjust it.
