I like it
It's not a great movie but I enjoy it way too much. I like the idea of the story and one of my guilty pleasures of bad movies. Its no award-winning movie but worth a shot watching and just enjoying.

Worth watching once...
I gotta say, In Time intrigued me with its neat concept of time as currency and also as a person's own life clock. I agree with some of the other reviews that say the concept was great but the execution was poor. It could have been so much better. Some of the areas that they could have focused on more or better:1. Fleshing out characters. They kept mentioning characters without going into enough detail to make them seem important to audience members or even the main characters themselves. For instance, the main character Will Salis (played by Justin Timberlake) mentions his father once or twice and talks about his father with this timekeeper, the cops of this world, but these "conversations" are all hints at what his father did and how significant he was. The way the story was going, I expected that the main characters would discover this big conspiracy related to Will's father and then Will would avenge him by succeeding where he failed. Will mentions that he thinks his father was killed, but then there was no truth uncovered about it.Another example is the main "bad guy", the father of Amanda Seyfried's character, Sylvia. He is this rich tycoon who wouldn't spare a cent for his own daughter for the sake of the time "markets." He has conversations with mysterious people about the markets and seems like he's the head honcho of everything. There were multiple opportunities to show just how ruthless he was, like this scene where his wife says that he "suffocates the family" with his imposing will. That was a perfect opportunity for him to exercise his power by punishing his wife somehow. They just kept setting things up but not really explaining anything.2. Stealing time is reaaaaaally easy. After a while, Will and Sylvia team up to steal time from the rich to give to the poor a la Robin Hood. Despite how valuable time is (people kill for a week in the ghetto), all of the time banks have really no security at all. Will and Sylvia get away super easily, even when stealing from Sylvia's father who employs many guards but has one number combination for his huge vault, containing 1 million years. Not even an eye or thumb scan? Weak.3. Will Salis is super badass. This guy who grew up in the ghetto, literally fighting for his life everyday, somehow is highly trained in driving, shooting, and being James Bond. I can understand that he's scrappy and resourceful, but they make him look like a freaking professional!4. I think one of the other reviewers mentioned this but the ghetto is really not that bad. They're just poor. The living conditions don't seem too awful other than people dying in the streets every day or so. But for such a horrible place, people are wearing decent clothing, the streets are clean, and no one seems desperate for time, despite living "day to day." In fact, other than the mob boss who runs around cleaning people's time with his lackeys, people seem downright decent in the ghetto.Anyways, despite some of these shortcomings, it's worth a watch, if just to see what this movie could have been, had it been better written and executed. I actually liked it for the entertainment and for the fact that I could stick my arm out and ask my friend to pay me in time. :D

Dystopian action film
Dystopian world where time is currency for everything, you pay for everything in time, run out of time, run out of life dead in less time than a click of the fingers. Many live minute to minute with less than a day on their clock and many cases barely a few hours. This is a story of a decent but time poor chap, who through various adventures ends up taking on the mega rich with decades + on their clocks. Plenty of action, and in many ways thought provoking.

Logan's Run meets Bonnie and Clyde
A sweet romantic sociatal tale where time IS money. Or life credits to be exact. Its fair to call this Logan's Run meets Bonnie and Clyde.Fair performances by the actors. It's a fabulouse idea but the pace is painfully slow.Production design makes use of old styles with upgraded workings behind it all.All in all a good film to not tax the brain by, but a few heart stopping moments; literally.

Guter Film Gute DVD

An okay scifi action with Timberlake
A nice little scifi movie with an interesting world that regulates all its citizens' "time left on the clock" by literally giving people time as pay for work and such. Time is the only currency and if the paycheck is late or you're stuck in a traffic with no way to reload the clock on your wrist -- you're as good as dead. The plot is interesting, but does not really hold well together towards the end and even becomes somewhat ridiculous. Also Justin Timberlake's character seems like a person who doesn't take anything that seriously in a world this serious -- maybe it's his lazy acting. There also is no extras whatsoever on the disc, which is a bummer.
