SEM 39853 Black Texture Coating Spray Aerosol - 16 oz.

The texture sprays evenly and quickly lays a factory finish. I used it on a mini cooper bumper to match the factory wheel arch trim. It worked well with the satin trim black finish. It lasts quite a while as I have a good amount of the can left. I'll be saving it for future projects so hopefully it has a decent self life.

This product added the texture needed to complete our refurbished panels on our restoration journey.

I used this for restoring the dash on my Opel GT resto-mod project. I was going to ship it off to have it done when my wife suggested I try it myself, and I am SO glad she did. this saved me $1000-$1500, and about 8 weeks of waiting. There is one area on the right side that I need to touch up because I got a little lazy with my prep work, but overall I am more than thrilled with the results.

Texture is amazing, it is about equal to 60 grit sand paper and really imparts the texture that you would expect on a car dash or on any textured plastic.Notes:1. Mistakes are easy to make is it sprays on thick. Some practice helps, remember to maintain good distance with light coats. Mistakes may need corrected by sanded and refinishing the surface.2. Because it is thick spray a bit into the air before each use to clear any clogs.3. The nozzel has alot of resistance making it very hard to depress for an extended time without fatigue. If you have to spray a whole dash you might want to do it in sections, or build up your finger muscles.4. It's expensive at 5 times the cost of regular spray paint. Worth it if you want a perfect finish. If you are not looking for perfect and can settle with just good then another cheaper product should be used.

I built a Large perimiter pool table light and finished it with this b;ack textured finish to give it a classy finish. Tried all kinds of paints but this was perfect. Good adhesion, consistant texture great look.
