A Primer on Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) 1st Edition

This book has been written by the renowned authors in PLS-SEM, including the lead developer of SmartPLS. The contents are built up from the basics to more advanced discussions; focusing not only on the theoretical background but also on technical aspects. In short, new and existing users of PLS-SEM, and SmartPLS in particular, will benefit a lot from reading this book because the contents are very comprehensive. Many issues pertaining to PLS-SEM are addressed well in this book, such as how to calculate q^square (this issue is often asked by students who use SmartPLS) and how does blindfolding work. I strongly recommend this book to all researchers using PLS-SEM as well as postgraduate students.

The book is a great text not just for beginners, but also for more experienced users. It covers all the most essential aspects of PLS Modeling, and some more advanced issues. The language is clear and easy to understand. Its structure is excellent: each chapter includes very good summaries, as well as review and critical thinking questions, a glossary of key terms, and suggested readings to broaden the knowledge on the subject. My congratulations to the authors!

This book, as others written by Hair, is a must buy if you want to study quantitative methods in general and Structural Equation Modeling in particular. As usual, the authors use a very intuitive language and provide useful examples. It is a good reference to add to the personal library.

If one is interested in learning partial least squares structural equation modeling this is a good book to have, and it's essential if planning on using SmartPLS software. It's not the easiest book to understand, especially for a non-statistician, but if one takes it slowly and works it step by step, it is a valuable resource in learning SEM. FYI, though--use the book in combination with the series of YouTube videos--it will make these techniques much easier and clearer.

I met the author in the conference. we talked about his another textbook which focus on SEM, which methods is very useful in academics research. Professor Joe recommend this book. it is why I bought.anyway, I think it is easy to read book.

This is a very helpful resource to assist the learner to gain a basic knowledge of PLS-SEM. The explanations are very clear, and the examples using SmartPLS are well designed. Highly recommend this resource.

This is a great book. It is easy to understand and provides excellent examples. If I was still teaching advanced research methods, I would seriously consider this book as a text for the class.

The first 3 chapters are simply the best: absolutely clear and to the point. I truly respect the author who wrote these first three chapters.On the other hand, I really want to know who wrote the chapter 4, 5, and probably 6; This quy who wrote these three chapters ruined the quality of this otherwise supremely written book.

Para quem necessita de maior entendimento sobre o assunto o livro é bastante esclarecedor, porém o material está em inglês.

A must have for anybody who want to use PLS-SEM for their data analysis. Easy to read and understand, and up-to-date. Love the examples given at the end of each chapter - great step-by-step toturial for Smart-PLS software :)
