Review: Great for a first timer! - I've never worked on anything like this before, and this was my first time soldering - I really enjoyed it and somehow managed to get it working even after a couple of bad solders - All in all it probably took me around 2 hours spread across a couple of days. I will say - For someone who has no idea about electronics, the schematics included were ZERO help and I had to watch a YouTube video which led me to a step by step visual guide! Some of the solder points seemed to come away from the PCB quite easily, possibly my own fault though I don't think I did much wrong! Strip back some of the insulation and just leave the red and black wires. Joint to the same colour of wire in the short lead from the kit. Insulate joints. On the P.C.B. do not fit the U2 voltage regulator (remove it if already fitted ). Just join the inner and outer mounting holes with wire from a cut off component lead. Plug your U.S.B. lead into the J2 input connector and use a 5 volt U.S.B. power from computer or adaptor, to power clock. Do not use a higher voltage. The other white socket next to the buzzer is for an alarm output to another device. **Q: Can i solder a 9V battery connector to this board and power it with that?** A: Yes **Q: Does anyone know where you can get a case for this clock** A: You probably have to make one.
