Perfect for an Eddie fan!
Been lookin at this for awhile, as my dad is a massive Eddie fan, thought this would be good for his collection. I'm not dissapointed. Its amazing, and considering its second hand, its great quality!

A very well-written, entertaining and informative account of the early years of Eddie Stobart Ltd.
As is obvious from the publication date, this is an old book; in fact, the story stops short of the point where the (now out-of-date) TV series begins, but that is no reason to disregard it. It is a very well-written, entertaining and informative account of the early years of Eddie Stobart Ltd from the perspective of its owners, staff, customers, industry observers and its fan club members. One surprising revelation is that Eddie Stobart himself had no real interest in road transport; that aspect of his largely agricultural business was the prodigy of son Edward and, to a lesser extent, brother William. The book provides a rare insight into the lives of these private individuals and what, these days, would be termed their business strategies. This isn't really a book for petrol heads (there are few specifics of the fleet) but those with broader interests will learn a great deal from it. There are a few tangents, some of which are more interesting than others, and the story is slow to start - but stick with it and you should enjoy it. It leaves you wanting more and a sequel would be most welcome.

A tad expensive for a paperback
I was a little disappointed with this item as it is just a normal paperback with not very many photos. But it is interesting to read the story of how thw Stobart Empire developed. I just think that it should have been priced a little lower.
