Cheap fun
In Fresno there is a group of bicycle riders that had similar if not the same products that they had attached to their bicycle wheels. We had to get some for our selves and armed with the knowledge that they had found them on Amazon searched for and found these, The length is perfect for fitting around one bicycle wheel with the battery box attached to the inside of the hub. I used duct tape to hold the wires and led's to the wheel rim. So far it is holding. The Joy is riding around at night time. The lights are super bright and look great. We get a lot of comments as we ride. The lights come as a set of parallel lacquered wires with LED's attached between them. They are a little unwieldy to work with and get tangled easily. I don't plan to remove and store them repeatedly but if I did I might worry about the wires fatiguing and breaking. They should last for a long time if they are installed and not moved. The product does say for indoor use only so I don't know how well they will work in wet weather. When you order $25 or more you also can get what seems to be the same product only it is green colored battery case and wire. They are about $1 cheaper and even a better deal. The sets of Blue LED's were slightly different in hue. One being a little more of a turquoise color (silver strands) than the other.

Battery-powered micro LEDs
So, I have this replica of an oil-burning ships' lantern. I wouldn't try lighting it for anything, 'cause I'm not sure how well it's soldered together, but I was catching suggestions that it needed to be lit as a Christmas decoration. After searching Amazon, I discovered RTGS made sets of 20 micro- LEDs powered by 3 AA batteries. After estimating the size of the battery pack, I purchased 4 sets: warm white, red, blue and green. The LEDs are on thin, silvery wire that bends easily into whatever configuration is useful, and from any distance over about 10 feet, the wires are all but invisible.I was able to stuff the lantern globe full of the red and green lights and tuck the battery-packs up into the metal chimney-shroud where they were out of sight but gave good access to the switches. The effect was a huge success! The lights look like tiny red-and-green constellations, and everyone was very happy with my efforts. The blue and white lights will allow the lantern to be used for various holidays. All 4 sets work and provide bright, pure-colored light. It's too early to know about the battery life yet, but the first sets I've installed have held up well, showing no signs of giving out after about 24 hrs of use so far. I'm very happy with these lights, I'd recommend them to anyone who wanted this kind of lighting, and I'd buy more in a heartbeat.

Perfect for Tony Star arc reactor cosplay
I was looking for a portable light source to make Tony Stark's arc reactor for a cosplay, and this exactly hit the spot! I used hot glue to attach the lights inside the rim of a 2" mason jar lid, and I run the power cable down to the battery pack in my pocket. I could have used a slightly longer lead between the last light and the power pack - I ended up putting electrical tape over the last light so I could run it below the main body of the arc reactor. I agree with some other comments that the wire between the lights looks fragile, so where I had the wire emerge from the mason jar lid I reinforced it with more electrical tape. I topped off the surface of the arc reactor with a few layers of tissue paper, the top of which I'd drawn onto with layers of black and silver Sharpie, and then plastic wrap. To attach the arc reactor I glued ribbon to the back of the lid and I can tie it to my bra straps in the right position. Slap whatever Tony Stark-ish outfit you want over that, and you're ready to go! :) Don't forget to buy three AA batteries to go with this.

Cute for nautical themed tree.
Made a lil nautical Christmas tree for guest bedroom on a budget with a inexpensive mini tree. These lights bring the blue hue to it. The timer is nice so one less thing to turn on but I suggest using lithium batteries so there will always be a strong blue light. I used others and it seemed to deplete the juice fast and it wasn’t as bright as it should be. Over all good buy.

-long battery life
I used these string lights at a music festival I recently attended. I carry around a hydration backpack with me at these events, and as you could imagine it can get pretty heavy on my back after a while. After my group picks our spot in the crowd we set all of our packs down on the ground and I used these lights to call attention to our things so other festival goers didn’t step on them/us while we were seated. It worked great!!! The strings came on a copper wire which made it easy to form over our packs and easy cleanup after we were done. Used them for hours each night of the 4 day festival and never changed the batteries once. For $5 you cannot beat these sturdy little lights!!

Indoor only... NOT
I put these babies on my bicycle so I can bike in winter knowing motorists will be able to see me literally lit up like a Christmas tree.Believe it or not, "indoor use only" is likely just lawyer-speak since I have this baby wrapped around my bicycle. But before I even put in the work to install it, I had to test it under my faucet. So I turned it on, put the string under the running water. No problem. This basically means that this will work in the rain assuming you're protecting the battery pack. Now be aware the string is ultra slim and somewhat fragile, so too many bends or tugs can likely break it. But once installed... the chances of that happening are very slim. All in all, for safety, and an added cool effect at night, this was the best and easiest way to put Xmas lights on my bicycle. No more motorcycle 12v battery. No more rewiring/soldering. Just put in batteries and use!I've bought another set for my wreath and it's excellent there too! OUTSIDE!

I bought four, and only two work …
Unfortunately, I bought 4 beautiful blue lights and two illuminate very very well, and two are almost non-existent. The photo shows the. or fret of both... Any suggestions?
