Excellent quality! Fits over the sink for easy drainage and cleans up easily in the dishwasher. The large size holds all vegetables needed for large pots of soup. Great value for the money! Wish I had found this sooner.

Anyone sick of disposable plastic colanders with holes too big for linguine or too small and too few to drain anything should consider this. It's well made and works as described. The rubber handles where it rests on the sink lip are a great touch - Cuisanart probably could have gone cheap here and left the handles exposed to scratch and eventually rust, but they didn't.I just try not to think about the fact that I paid $25 for a colander. I almost took a star off for it, but the price is no secret, and everyone's perception of value is different. Expensive, but I don't expect to need/want another colander for a long time.

Unfortunately, it arrived with a dent in it that I think will always be there (hence the 4 stars), but it still works great and I use it all. the. time. Seriously... I use it everyday. To wash a handful of berries or strain a whole pot of pasta. I basically just leave it in my sink so it's always there, ready to go. The adjustable handles are easy to use and keep the colander perfectly situated across my sink without any slipping or sliding. When I do need to set it aside, I have found that it sits easily on the counter and is very stable. It's larger than I expected, but in a good way, and has easily handled straining out a whole box of cooked pasta with plenty of room to spare.

I chose Cuisinart for it's known quality and their limited lifetime warranty.The strainer has bright and sturdy stainless steel mesh and shiny edging and handles. The mesh is strong and retains it's shape. It is fine enough for rinsing everything but grains and a bit too harsh and large holed for berries - which is fine with me as I use the Cuisinart hand held strainers for tasks that need a finer mesh. Cuisinart CTG-00-3MS Mesh Strainers, Set of 3The bars under the mesh have bends to form feet to protect the mesh and hold it off the counter when taken out of the sink. This is nice as it stays upright instead of rolling to one side or the other as it would without feet.The handles have black rubber like tubes over the ends that rest on the sides of the sink that appear to be of good quality and look like they will hold up with use.I saw the measurements on the product page so I shouldn't have been surprised - but when I opened the box I thought 'wow that's huge' and wondered if it would work out as it takes up so much valuable sink space. I find that I use it so much that it stays in the sink and when I have to use the entire sink space it easily sits on the counter. I now think of it as a valuable addition to easy preparation.

We have used this daily since it arrived. Lots of veggies and fruit get washed as well as noodles to strain. It does it all and is so easy to clean. The adjustable aspect is great for any sized sink.

It’s amazing it’s sturdy it sound. We’ve watched it about three or four times. I don’t see any indication of rust. Don’t think I would put it in the dishwasher though. It holds at least 2 to 3 pounds of pasta maybe more it’s sturdy easy to pick back up and dump into a pasta bowl or any other thing you want to use it for. Highly recommend.

Fuerte y de buen tamaño, el entramado es suficiente y le cabe bien las verduras. Lo único es que el lavado no es tan fácil porque donde se junta el entramado a la base queda expuesto y si no se tiene cuidado queda basura ahi

Does not work for gluten free gnochi, but it works well for gluten free spaghetti. Handles dishwasher well.
