Hollow words that convey little to nothing
If you’re looking for actual advice, actionable information, or even good advice, this isn’t the place. The book was essentially a collection of ideas and hollow platitudes with nothing of any value to anyone looking for confidence or any semblance of it. The worst HBR book I’ve ever come across. The only book I’ve taken time to return.

A few good articles do not make a good book, the usual problem with the HBR series
And this book is no exception. Not recommended, unless you had read less than 3 books about resilience and fortitude.p.s. Below please find some favorite passages of mine fyi.In the job interview, you are literally auditioning for a new role. Developing your skills as a performer will help you not only to land the job, it will also help you grow and gain a new skill. Pg65Your mindset is more like I’ve done some cool and interesting things in my life and work that I’d love to share, and I’m really interested to hear about you and your company. You’ll play the role of a good conversationalist. Pg68One difference between winners and losers is how they handle losing. Even for the best companies and most accomplished professionals, long track records of success are punctuated by slips, slides, and mini-turnarounds. Pg99Realistic Thinking: Curious of the many unknowns. Ask open-ended questions, “How might this be possible?” Seek solutions. Sounds calmer and generative in tone. Able to see subtlety and gray. Forward looking. Pg122

Superficial
From HBR I expected mich better. Superficial content you can find on any you tube video. Seems like they spent more effort enlisting (sometimes for 4 rows! ) the titles of the contributors. Not worth the price.

great book
A highly insightful take on confidence. Harvard Business Review Press at its best. Some great article presented in this book

Amazon should take care that the books aren't torn or dirty.
The content is good and useful. The problem is Amazon. Recently almost all the books I've bought are either torn or dirty enough to make you wonder if someone stomped on them. That's very disappointing.
