This is such a great book for learning or practicing banjo. The song selection is really good (I have become introduced to wonderful songs I’d sadly never heard, plus many old favorites), the tabs are nice and BIG so you can easily read them with the book on the couch next to you while you play, and the CD is so pleasant you can listen to it just for its own sake. The CD has banjo in one speaker and backup guitar in the other, so you can alter the balance to play along to the backup. I highly recommend this book for beginning to intermediate players seeking fun tabs, or anyone who loves playing good ol’ traditional gospel tunes.

GOSPEL PLOW :-) One of my favorite songs, and now I can play it on banjo, thanks to this wonderful book !!!!!! I really like the book, and am enjoying working on the songs. We listen to the cd recordings of the songs, while we are driving around, to help reinforce the rhythms for us. Both of us are really enjoying working with this book. The tabliture is written very nicely on the lines and large enough to be seen easily. The words are written there also, which also helps us with learning to play these songs. This is a great book, with great features !!!!!! We are very happy with this book.

The best gospel banjo book I’ve purchased thus far. Songs are all in alphabetical order so they are easy to flip to and find. Most importantly, the tabs are easy to read, lyrics are included, and the melody does not get lost in the picking.

great old time gospel songs with beginner tabs and some intermediate tabs as well. more than worth the price if your new to the banjo

Very good examples of intermediate material, some unexpected and great sounding solo songs. CD makes for a learning experience that can be applied to many of songs already in the players repertoire..
