Love this when I’m in a hurry—A+++
I don’t know if it’s meant to me worn alone but I just apply a little with my finger to the lids or my eyess. Doesn’t look patchy and it instantly brightens them. Because of its simplicity, and that it looks GOOD still with such minimal effort, I keep reaching for it. And I have enough eye palettes, liquid eye shadow, pencil eye shadow etc to last 10 lifetimes (it a problem). But I keep going back to use this.

Great base, especially for theatrical/drag looks
I ordered this product when I started seeing it pop up more and more in tutorial videos I was watching to get inspired in creating fun drag and theatrical looks. I've used skin-tone primers before but this was my first time using a white base. These are excellent for theatrical/drag looks, or for any makeup application that relies on vivid colors. Think about it like a painter: they don't paint on flesh colored canvases, but rather on bright white canvas to get the best and truest transfer of color. This primer is an excellent base for making very bright, vivid makeup looks stay put.It's important (as with all makeup!) to blend this product when applying...this will help control creasing or clumpiness. The same goes for products that you use over this - be sure to blend well! This base will prevent creasing, but it can only do so much. Also, if you want an even more vivid application, you can start with this base, follow up with NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk (white - be sure to blend this well as the pencil has a tendency to crease if applied to heavily and not properly blended, even over the base), and then cover in powdered shadows and glitters. You can also use any of the NYX jumbo pencils in whatever color will best coordinate with the color or look you wantI haven't used this base with creme based shadows - its formula works very well with powders, and using a powder or loose pigment product at some point in the process will really help set your look. This product really is a must for anyone who loves a really bright and fun makeup look or for theatrical/drag makeup enthusiasts.

Works great, slightly oily.
I purchased this eye shadow primer in white; because I wanted my eye shadow colors to show up more vibrantly, and in hopes that they would resist fading throughout the day. The pot it comes in is really tiny, so much so that, with my fingernails, there is no way I could easily use my finger for application, which is a shame, because that seems to work best. I've read a lot of reviews about people using a concealer brush to apply it, but since I don't have a brush specifically for concealer, I tried using some eye shadow brushes. This didn't work too great because the product has such a greasy consistency-it would stick all over the brush bristles and hardly any would transfer onto my eyelids, it would have taken forever to cover my entire eye area that way! It's hard for me to say if it would work much better with another bristle brush designed for concealer, but I kind of doubt that it would. So far, the best way I've found to apply this primer is to use one of those sponge applicators that come with eye shadows.After I figured out the best way I could possibly apply it with what I had on hand, I placed it where ever I might put eye shadow, and then started applying some eye shadow. This product does make it a lot easier to do complex colorations, because it does a decent job of keeping everything in its place, and when I went to blend things, it blended just how I wanted it to. Any excess primer, that didn't have eye shadow on it once I was done, I either blended away, or removed with a Q-Tip. Once I was done, my eye shadow looked awesome, and was at least 2x as vibrant as it would have been without the primer!Unfortunately, about two hours later, I checked out my eye shadow in the mirror, and realized that all the eye shadow in my eye creases was gone. If I had my eyes open all the way, then everything looked fine, but closing them at all revealed mostly bare eyelids all through that area, all made super-noticeable by the vibrancy of the remaining eye shadow. I've never had issues with eye shadow "creasing" before, but I'm pretty sure that is what was going on. I've heard creasing can be caused by having oily eyelids, and given how oily this product is, I figured maybe that had something to do with it.Fortunately, after some more experimenting, I found that, as long as I rubbed the primer in really well, especially in the crease (so that it's less oily), it works perfectly. Seriously, my eyeshadow now lasts over 8 hours, with minimal fading or creasing. It's actually pretty amazing! I've even fallen asleep with it on, and woken up to have pretty decent-looking eyeshadow still. So, I guess the "trick" to this product is to make sure you don't use too much, and to blend it in well to prevent oily buildup.The only reason I did not award this product 5 stars is because it is so oily, I can't imagine it would be good for people prone to breakouts (although I haven't had any issues like that), and because the pot it is in is so tiny that it makes it somewhat difficult to use. Other than those two issues, I highly recommend this product! It is so much cheaper than similar products, and does everything I was wanting it to!

You want your face to be a rainbow? You know you do!
I'm just starting makeup for fun (I'm in my 30s) and this is one of my MUST have products. I'm not in the makeup game to be subtle...b/c like, why? I spent time putting stuff on my face, ya'll should be able to see it! I like bright color (it is perhaps relevant that I have more of a background in painting...)This primer makes allllll the colors of your makeup so much truer and brighter. It's a must if you're a color nut like me. With Nyx's white eyeshadow base, the color on your pallete is the color that will be on your eyelids . I'm a medium-skinned white girl, FWIW, so I dunno how it would work on darker skin. But it does go on white-white-white if you want it to--you can just sort of paint it on and go totally white, or rub it in for just a lighter base to put your colors on. Both was are great--also it's great for those sparkly liquid eyeshadows that tend to be sorta transparent. Also relevant: it arrived creamy and very easy to spread. I've gotten other products in similar packaging that has dried out a bit or is separated, but this texture was perfect.

Eye shadow primer
Love this but it used to be $4 now it’s $20. It’s not worth the mark up when there’s similar products available.
