Great SATA 3 adapter in a PCIe 2.0 1x slot
Works great in my older MB that had a x1 slot available. Faster than the SATA II connections on the MB.I have not tried the MB RAID on this adapter but I understand that it is possible, to use the MB RAID BIOS.I have booted from the adapter, the Windows drivers found the card and installed correctly. For the price this is a good adapter for adding more drives to a system that is shy on SATA ports. Note: My adapter uses IRQ 3 (normally a serial port which I turned off in the BIOS)

I bought this card to speed up the SATA connection on an HP Pavilion P7-1220 prebuilt PC from roughly 2012 (for use with a new SATA 3 SSD) which runs Windows 10. This PC only has SATA 2 and PCIe 2.0 capabilities built in.I booted the PC once with this card installed but no drives attached. I did not make any attempt to install drivers. Then I swapped the HDD connection from the onboard SATA to this card. Initially it did not boot directly to Windows. However, simply selecting the same HDD again, once, in the BIOS Boot Manager allowed the PC to repeatedly boot as normal. From there I cloned the HDD to an SSD, and swapped in the SSD.This card has been running very smoothly for weeks without any performance issues, or any need to fiddle with drivers. I cannot vouch for it's ability to smoothly connect many drives at a time, but it will give bootable, SATA 3 drive speeds to a decade-old PC!

Works Great, Easy Install but Didn't Include Low Profile Bracket
This works great for my proxmox setup and the install was super easy, but unfortunately, they didn't include the low-profile bracket in my package like it mentioned in the product description. Will have to see if I can find an extra somewhere.EDIT: the company was very responsive and shipped out a new card with a low-profile bracket included!

I have to say, I ordered an item for the computer. Showed up on 2nd morning, after ordering. Very fast I appreciate that. So far it's hooked up and working. Hope it will last.

This was exactly the item I was looking for
Installation was simple and the device works well. There were no instructions, however and the driver disk does not autoload when placed in the drive. That being said, I was able to figure it out. Probably not a problem for somebody who is adding cards to their computer.

Received this product in faster than expected time. Was exactly as described and had performed far above expectation. Am using in a media server that runs 24/7 and has not missed a beat. Would buy again when needed. Thank you

Not GREAT speeds, but decent
Lower read/write speeds... but I just have my movie drives hooked up to it. It works** update - device no longer works as of 2022-08-29
