Two thumbs up!!! Exactly what I needed
My recirculating pump for my chickens water froze and this is the exact replacement I needed. Plug and play and works as required.

Not worth the money
Bought 2. 1st one worked for a few minutes before failing. The 2nd worked great for a couple weeks before failing.

Well built pump
The pump is extremely well built with O-ring to keep the water out of the motor. Impeller is balanced. The only worry I had was the heating motor but it’s now been running every day for 8 hours a day for the past few months on a solar pool heater. Very quiet you can’t really hear it. I like it.

Noisy
I put this, and a comparable pump that was $50 in separate 10 gallon aquariums, and used buck converters to fine tune them until there was equilibrium in them both pumping water into the other pumps tank. While this pump was at 14vdc, the other pump was at 10.6vdc. (both rated for 12-24v)I stopped comparing at 14v because this pump was noticably loud, while the other pump was silent. The flow rate was roughly between 1.1 & 1.25 gpm.I've decided to use the other pump as my primary due to the noise. I do like these pumps however. The noise makes them great as emergency bailer pumps that will get my attention if they ever kick on. They perform great, they're just loud.Edit -- I've been using this for about a year to kickstart a siphon in my saltwater aquarium overflow. I'm using 24v, and it runs for 1-2 seconds once in a blue moon, or a little longer if I want to quick drain my overflow. It does just fine with algae and detritus, but anything larger than sand will stop the impeller, which causes a power draw spike and the pump to heat up considerably. When temporarily using it to transfer saltwater, it's important to disassemble it and clean it with fresh water then dry and reassemble it before storing it. Just running fresh water through isn't enough to keep it from corroding internally and being unusable afterwards.Edit 2 -- I've had this pump in a saltwater aquarium for a year and a few months now. It's completely submerged periodically and always has saltwater running through it due to it only being there to kickstart a siphon. It has algae growing on it, it regularly has detritus running through it. It's easy to open up and clean periodically. I'm happy with it, and just bought another to keep as a backup. Also, typical 1/2" pvc fittings from the plumbing isle at home depot fit, but they'll leak without teflon tape.

Nice pump
I like this thing. Good power considering the small size.

Didn’t work
I can’t get this pump to work. I ordered one and it was completely DOA on arrival. No nothing happening. I ordered a replacement and the second one squealed, then worked for 30 seconds, then squealed again and then nothing. No pumping, no squealing. I was really hopeful because the 30 seconds it was working it was pumping very nicely. :(

This thing can't self prime in the slightest
It literally needs a water filled line or Reservoir just to start otherwise it won't even pump at all.Once it gets going the flow is decent but the inability to even self prime when the inlet is submerged in water, is pretty bad.

Decent for the price
Check flow rate against the pump you are replacing, it does well within its ratings, but it is rated for less than many similar pumps its size.
