I am disapointed with this camera performance.After reading all those other 5 star reviews i was expecting better. Yes it was a good price and has a good image after you adjust it, out of the box it was dark and over saturated. The camera does work well for day time use, but at night its a disaster.I bought this for security reasons and want to be informed about intruders with an alarm on the phone or sent to my email. The problem is that you get constant false alarms at night. The camera seems to be a magnet for all manner of bugs, cobwebs and flying things which trigger the sensor even when set to say 5 percent, which is then too low for decent daytime detection. False alarms are also triggered when there is just gentle rain falling and whenever any lights nearby go on or off. This just makes it useless and you just have to turn of motion detection or spend your life responding to false alarms.From what i can tell the problem is based around the fact that this cameras IR lights remain on once it decides its in night mode. And those bright leds constantly on along with poor motion decection are the cause of the problem. I have other cameras and the IR lights only turn on when motion is detected or when you access the camera using the app. The leds on the camera are on all night and there is no option in the app to set them to come on only with motion.So if you just want a camera for just daytime use or no motion detection then this will do. However if like me you expect a security camera to have decent motion detection day or night as advertised, then look elsewhere because this camera is a pile of junk when using at night for motion sensing.Also unlike my other Reolink camera it is not possible in the app to send the alarm email to more than one recepient and my phone is always warning about the app being power intensive draining the phone battery power in the background.

It is perfect for supervising the yard and the house.Phone control is the most practical thing. I can check anytime, anywhere, to zoom in on the phone, record and even turn on the night-vision flash.I can not talk about resistance. It's an outside room, it's normal to withstand water, heat, cold ...One good thing is push to talk. Basically I can use the camera as an intercom, I use it when someone calls the door.Practically where it is installed sees about all routers within a 100 meter radius! The microSD card works ok, remains the test of time.It's a great room at a great price. I reckon without doubt.

The media could not be loaded.  I recently had a small break in, so I decided to invest a bit of my money to buy some cheap ip security cameras. My first impressions of this camera were great, the camera body is completely made out of metal and feels very well sturdy. Setup was easy, i mounted the the camera on the wall down the side of my house , passed the cables through the hole and connected the ethernet and power cables.The picture quality is good enough to make out faces up close. The camera also works quite well in the dark with enough detail to make out faces. The mobile apps work as expected, they allow you to add multiple cameras and even set up motion detection.I decided not to use the included application, instead I linked my cameras to home assistant running on my raspberry pi. You can link these cameras to any app that supports onvif cameras.

The camera arrived very quickly. It was ordered via prime and was surprised at the size as it manages to pick up a large area view of my living room considering it is very compact. It doesn't take up much space at all and as it's white, can be hidden behind other things or places on wallsOnce plugged into the router and once the app was downloaded, which was very easy to use (app is called hicam and took one minute to set up on the playstore), the images began recording.To save recordings, an SD card is needed for the camera but you can still view the image live through your phone without an SD card.The camera itself is on a stand and it can be rotated to ensure it picks up the area you want to record.I set it up ontop of my fridge freezer. It plugs into the router and into the mains, and after this it was good to go.The instructions were very easy to follow which was handy because I've not set up a any WiFi camera before.Overall great value for money product and easy to hide in a room or outsideSuper fast delivery and very good picture too (much better than i had expected).

A few things aren't right with the camera software . Let's deal with those first.Firstly, the web view needs to install Adobe Flash to view the feed. Flash has been discontinued and is no longer supported by any modern browser, but IS still active in China via a 3rd party. This maybe while this is still shipped like this. The device CAN be viewed on mobile , so the choice / restriction to insecure Flash in the browser is strange.Secondly , the softwasre download exe gives all sorts of warnings in Windows while trying to write to an active system file it should have no need to write to. DO NOT try and install the software.HOWEVER : If you can set this up just using your mobile you'll be fine. I got the feed working, the wifi setup was easy , and the picture is good. BUT on the mobile app you cannot use the zoom function etc .This is an incomplete solution.
