Nero 2015 [Old Version]

I had an older version of NERO which did not work properly with Windows 10. So I saw this version and immediately purchased it on AMAZON. It is great. So easy to install and even easier to use the program, based on my experience from my older version. I am very happy with this updated version that does work well with WINDOWS 10. GOOD JOB NERO! I hate this version. I purchased this version for burning picture slide DVDs and burning music CDs. Well, for burning picture slide DVDs this version is a ripoff. This version does not let you edit your pictures once you've lined them up to burn them. Also, this part was what took the cake for me. Adding transitions to my picture slide DVD made me very upset because this version shows me a huge listing of transitions only not to allow me to use them. I clicked one of the many transitions and it displays a huge message saying that I don't have the transition pack and automatically takes me to the page where I can buy Nero Classic 2015 which is what I have. As for burning music CDs, that task too is problematic. The choice for burning CDs the ones you can play on your regular DVD players, this Nero Classic version gives choices only if you want to burn the CD as Jukebox version which will only play on your computer and not on traditional CD players. Then, burning as MP3 music files, Nero Classic burns the MP3 files on CDs but when I tried playing these, again these would only play on my computer and not on my MP3 boombox. My boombox plays both traditional music files and MP3 files. So you see, I'm very upset with Nero. And to top it, I looked up how to contact them for help. I found out that they charge $1.29 to help me on the telephone. Really? I never expected to have such a hard time with this Nero Classic 2015 software. I mean, I'm not a computer geek but I always thought I could figure things out on my own. I mean, I had a previous Nero version for a long time and that version did everything for me. I loved it. This is why I purchased this Classic 2015 version because I thought it would be everything I had before in my previous version plus more options. I was WRONG! I ended up with more limitations than with any software I had ever worked with. SO, BEWARE IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING BUYING THIS NERO CLASSIC 2015. UNLESS YOU'VE ALREADY PLAYED WITH THIS VERSION BEFORE AT A FRIENDS HOUSE, STAY AWAY FROM IT OTHERWISE, YOU'LL BE FRUSTRATED AND UPSET LIKE I AM. UPDATE: I just wanted to say that after posting this review here, someone from NERO wrote me through this website to give me a link to download Nero transition pack and another link to correct my 2 major problems I currently have. Well, I just want to say that I went through the process of downloading per this person's recommendation and absolutely NOTHING happened as a result of this which proves my point. Something is terribly wrong with this software. Why isn't everything advertised on NERO CLASSIC 2015 not a true representation of what one gets when purchasing this software?? As I said before, I had an older version of NERO and there was no mystery as to what you could do with this software. How disappointing to buy this version of NERO CLASSIC 2015 only to find out how inferior it is to previous releases.

Easy to use. Easy to burn/copy DVDs. Installation took about 5 minutes. Informative interface that walks you through the installation process. Easy interface for burning CD/DVDs. Good, inexpensive product for IBM/DELL/HP computers. It would seem silly to pay for more IF your goal is simply to copy CDs or DVD. I can't vouch for its use or value in editing or production. In the Nero "Express" mode, without data verification, it can copy (make a duplicate version) of a non-write protected DVD in about 12 minutes. With data verification, it took about 35-40 minutes for a 90/120 minute DVD. And it allows you to "burn this disk again" which reduces the time needed for multiple copies. Also, importantly, this product is NOT for Apple/MAC.

Not as simple to use as I had wanted. In years past I've used other similar software that was much easier to use. It needs to be more user friendly.

After hours of trial and error I have begun to master some of the unintuitive functions of Nero 15. I will say that the dvd burns are excellent and quick compared to other programs. The biggest challenge in creating and burning dvds is the template mess which is truly a shame. Intuitive templates were once the hallmark of Nero 7. Unfortunately Windows 7 will not allow Nero 7 Ultra to be installed and my version of Nero 7 Essentials suddenly and mysteriously turned into a trial version when I reloaded it recently after 6 years of use. (Nero is a clever company, no doubt.) So I'm stuck with this and its massive manual for now. There are many features (too many) here which most people will never use which is a reason for the high price. Nero was once a fabulous program for the price, It is still the best of the lot including the crappy sharewares available so this is probably the best choice in a weak field.

This product meets all my needs for DVD burning, movie making, slide shows and data backup. I'm very happy with Nero 2015 Classic, a great product at a great price! However, if you're seeking a product that is backed by great customer service - then you would want to look elsewhere. My experience with Nero Customer Service has been a little aggravating. The Nero Customer Community Forum is manned by volunteers, not Nero employees. I recently had technical issues with my PC over the past year, and had to restore it to factory condition several times. Nero only allows installation on one PC and 5 installs of the product. After 5 installs - the patent expires and you're unable to use Nero Video. However, I was able to burn some audio CD's and Data DVD's. I filled out two customer service forms and had to week almost a week to have my patent extended. So, it would seem that Customer service is a little slow. I have found that Nero Classic 2015 is a great product for what I need, I hope that the company can "step up" the customer service a little.

It copies and burns DVDs easily. The user interface is simple and easy to use. I haven't used this program extensively, so I can't speak to all the features, but it worked well for my limited purposes.

Great program does so many things video editing, dvd, cd, blu ray burning and viewing and so much more. Worth much more than it costs.
