Perfect for the job.
I resented buying big bottles of milk from the supermarket and then having to throw some away because it went off before we could finish it. Obviously it would be easier to buy the smaller size milk, but when the difference is only about 35p between a 1 litre and a 2 litre bottle, common sense says to buy the bigger. So I invested in glass bottles and now don't look back. They freeze fine, and thaw much quicker than plastic bottles. Just one warning. Don't fill right to the top and leave the lid a little loose when freezing as often the milk expands. If it has nowhere to go, it will break the glass, as I found out. Not the fault of the bottle, but my ignorance, so I don't make that mistake again.

Perfect for home made milk
I bought these because I discovered you can't actually recycle milk cartons where I live, but now that I've discovered how easy and cheap it is to make your own milk (nut/oat/soy obviously - I'm not a total weirdo!) I've no idea why I didn't do it sooner. In these bottles it looks just like milk should look imo and the necks are wide enough that they're easy to clean - I've been soaking with a steredent periodically to get them extra clean. Having played about a bit, I've come up with the following recipe which I think is great! :-D Soak 60g hazelnuts and 2 dates over night. Drain the water. Add 30g oats and 1 pint fresh water. Blitz until smooth and creamy. Strain and poor into your milk bottle! :-D Keep the pulp and use it instead of flour in cooking recipes for a bonus side product.

Great storage bottle
Use this glass bottle to store my fresh cream in the fridge as the cartons don’t come with a reusable lid Works a treat easy to clean use a bottle brush would recommend
