Beginner Success!
I have been curious about mushroom growing for quite some time, so when I was gifted a grow kit without culture, I looked around and decided to go with the Root Mushroom Farms culture. Since this was my first time and I kind of messed up the inoculation, I wasn't sure it would grow... but fear not! The culture colonized my grain bag fully, then went on to produce some mighty fine pink oyster mushrooms. I succeeded in spite of myself! I am quite pleased with the performance of this culture and I will be a repeat customer.

Bad culture
I inoculated 2 bags and a culture jar and have seen zero growth from the portabella. I attempted to contact the seller and a few days ago but have heard nothing back. I also purchased maitake at the same time from this seller and the spawn bag is colonizing fast but the portabella is doing nothing. I bet the culture got too cold in storage or was old. Either way Id like money back or a replacement that actually works.Seller contacted me and said he will replace. I will change my review if the new syringe works

Pink Oyster Mushrooms
I ordered a syringe of PO mushrooms to experiment with my first try at growing mushrooms. I watched several videos on how to start the process. I injected seven bags of rice and looked at them after two weeks of waiting. Initially I was scared they had all gone bad because I saw pink mycellium and read on Reddit that it was lipstick mold. After some research I found out that PO mushrooms can have pink mycellium. I opened all 7 bags and all of them had formed beautiful blocks of mycellium. I think transferred the mycellium to two 5 gallon buckets of low pasturized straw and within one week I already have PO mushrooms pinning and pushing the tape away from the bucket. I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Thanks so much and can’t wait to try some more.Update: the first pic was on a Tuesday, the second and third are different buckets from the same liquid culture syringe 5 days later.

Ok product
The culture came quickly, lots of mycelium in syringe. Tested on agar and had two small spots of contamination, but easily remedied by transferring a healthy section to new agar plate. Anyone that has spent much time growing knows that it happens at times , it’s a crapshoot. Could have been the needle from factory, pre poured agar, culture, or even me. Overall growing well and the transfer solved the problem

Had issues but it still came out a success
Edit: After messing up the whole thing, I finally got the spores injected into my grow bag and I have a successful culture growing. The spores came in the mail in my hot dry climate and they are doing fine. I will be buying more spores from this seller. My previous experience trying to grow lions mane on a mail log had been half successful it grew but still contaminated so this rye bag injection is the way to goI received the syringe, plunger, and alcohol wipe. There is no instruction in here so I pop the needle onto the plunger and the plunger won't budge. It still seems to be sealed inside. Frantically looking for instruction online everyone just twists the needle into place and it's good to go but mine stays inside the plunger. I feel that it must be contaminated at this point

Pink Oyster colonized grain image.
The Pink Oyster liquid culture was 100% clean and fast growing. I would buy again. I added an image of colonized grain spawn from this pink oyster culture.

Got a bad one.
I must have gotten a bad one. There is no perfection in this game, I'll try ordering again when the weather cools down, as I've learned it wants to be less than 68 Fahrenheit degrees or vitality wanes allowing competitors to flourish. Two syringes, used by two different people in two different labs, got 100% contaminated petri dishes with the same fluffy white mycelium covering the cordyceps. It pins under the white mycelium but then won't grow out. It was ordered in early June, so during hot weather, and grown in low 70s temperatures, which is all wrong. I'm still a novice making too many mistakes.
