Bright and Wide
These are noticably brighter than my previous pair that burned out after 15 months. I tried the Wagner Tru-view headlamps and liked them, but I can't seem to find them now. Since my vehicle (Chevy Express Van) uses the headlights as daytime running lamps, the bulbs don't last very long and it doesn't pay to run the more expensive ones. These are only a couple dollars more than the standard halogen, but worth the extra price. These seem to project a wider beam that allows me to see a little more to the sides, but they still blast straight ahead as well or better than the others. I've not tried the Sylvania Silver Stars, but I have replaced a lot of Sylvania bulbs with Wagners. The Wagners just last longer except when they are used for daytime running lamps. Then no bulb is going to last very long. I replaced both of the previous bulbs at the same time and they burned out within one and a half weeks of eachother. I'll keep using/replacing Wagners.

nice lights, but they dont last too long
work well. not as bright as the silver star. and with the new daytime running lights, they seem to burn out quite frequently.

not a brite lite
This is not a brite lite bulb. On the front of the bulb it should say wagner and below it it should say brite lite. This is just a regular headlight. It is not even a Halogen. looks like i have to order from some one else.

it has a sort of split beam and is not very useful. Too much hassle to return or I would
I wanted to increase my meager light output on my Ford E150 and thought these would fill the bill. But they are little if at all brighter. One is actually somewhat defective and the light doesn't really aim at the road, it has a sort of split beam and is not very useful. Too much hassle to return or I would, this would have been better to get at auto parts store even if I had to order it, so it could be returned easily.

I can see again!
These headlights are quite a bit brighter than the ones I replaced. I do not know how old they were but they looked about half as bright as these do. For old school headlight bulbs, they'll be just fine.....if they last.

The Wagner H6054 BriteLite is close to the Sylvania Silver ...
The Wagner H6054 BriteLite is close to the Sylvania Silver Star with two exceptions. The Wagner is not as bright but comes close to covering the same distance and width. The Wagner lasts 10 times longer than the Silver Star. I drive professionally over 100,000 miles per year, the majority is night driving. With the Silver Star, I was replacing both headlamps every two to three weeks, burn out! The Wagner BriteLite lasts up to 6 months!I really need a bright, long distance/wide angle beam for night driving. Deer/Elk/Antelope strikes get very expensive in down time for repair. The Wagner BriteLite provides my need at an affordable cost. I have been able to avoid wildlife accidents as well as debris in road incidents with plenty of visual warning and defensive driving to avoid these "near miss" accidents. At the same time, I do not need to run the HIGH BEAM all the time as the LOW BEAM is sufficient enough to allow me time to avoid an accident. Yet the low beam is not BLINDING towards on coming traffic. The HIGH BEAM is my choice for night driving and it is EXTREMELY blinding to oncoming traffic. The ONLY problem I have had with the BriteLite and the Silver Star is proper headlight alignment. If either get ever so slightly out of adjustment, it is very blinding to on coming traffic and those drivers will "flash" their high beams at you, get angry when YOU can't dim or go to low beam and then those idiots go to full high beam at YOU. That will screw up your night vision! Driving as many miles as I do, I am constantly making minor adjustments for headlight alignment. For my OWN interest, I did adjust the LOW BEAM of the Wagner BriteLite to the HIGH BEAM position. What I found was a surprise! The Wagner BriteLite LOW BEAM is every bit as bright as the HIGH BEAM, without the width pattern. In fact, the low beam in the high beam position almost WASHED OUT the effect of the high beam. The reason for the 4 star rating vs five star rating, the Wagner BriteLite doesn't quite have the light out put as the Silver Star.
