There's a reason America's Test Kitchen rated these as the best plastic cutting boards (sheets?). They don't move around the counter and will stay put while cutting and trimming meat and veggies. Easy clean and take up little room. I have bamboo and wood cutting boards that I use but these are easy to grab and quick to clean after use and hot water hasn't bothered them at all.

This is my second set of these cutting mats and I really like them. The first set lasted over a year before the knife marks made them difficult to clean. These also lasted the longest compared to other cutting mats I've bought, before the knife marks began to show. The mats are great for cutting produce and meats that don't have a lot of juice. The thin material is sturdy yet compact for storing. They are a perfect size and flexibility to chop, fold, and dump contents into a pan or pot. The multiple colors are useful for designating food types to avoid cross contamination. I find them easy to quickly pull out of my cupboard compared to my heavier chopping block and the mats can go in the dishwasher for cleaning.

I took one out of the package and put it on the table...it didn't slip at all and I couldn't even get it to slip without really trying. Wonderful. Then I cut some fruit on it - very smooth to cut on, no marks on the mat and I felt very secure as I was doing some delicate cutting around the core. Tried to cut excess fat off a steak using another mat - equally solid and secure without having the knife leave marks. Although they were a bit stiff to fold and empty, it could be done well enough and the stiffness contributed to the safe and solid feel. I thought these were totally perfect!Then I thought about where I would put them in my kitchen so that they'd be easily available. My kitchen has a good amount of wall space and space for magnetic hooks, but not much easily available shelf space. I looked again - my husband looked....we couldn't find an easily accessible shelf space and the mats provide no option to hang them.Having already fallen in love with the mats, I was determined to solve the problem. It eventually took a fairly large drill bit and a powerful drill - but we did succeed in putting a center hole at the top of each mat. The material proved to be very strong, a plus for a cutting board. Had to use a sharp box cutter to smooth the edges of the holes we drilled. They are now hanging happily on a magnetic hook on the side of the refrigerator.I felt I had to remove a star for the lack of a hanging option. If we could do it with a drill and a box cutter, surely the company could use a mold that includes one center hole at the top for those that want to hang these.

I already had a large cutting board made of glass that took up a large portion of my counter space.The problem was when I was done cutting up food, I hate to immerse the entire glass panel into the sink to wash off contaminants. This means if I moved from cutting up chicken to vegetables, I had to wash a huge cutting slate between each job.So, one day I am watching America's Test Kitchens and I see this product receiving huge accolades for its use and portability. I decided to go with the recommendation and purchased a set for myself.I can't begin to tell you how much better meal preparation has become since purchasing these cutting mats. With four of these coming in a set, I can now easily switch from cutting raw meat to chopping onions without having to do washes in-between. All the cleaning comes at the end when you simply rinse these in a soapy sink.I have also tested these in the dishwasher and they came out absolutely fine.There have been some complaints raised about the grip backing. I can attest to the fact that the grip is not as solid as I would have hoped it to be. There is a minimal amount of movement on the board during use, but it's not going to move wildly while cutting. I certainly don't think this is an issue that anyone should be concerned about.In all, this is a great set of cutting boards. I think Test Kitchens really got their review right and I am so happy that it enabled me to buy these. It has made food preparation so much easier.

We have many cutting boards (wood, thicker plastic, etc) but we use these the most. They are easy to clean, easy to put in the drying rack without taking up so much space. They take up such little space in the cabinet. And they travel well. Brought some on vacation (sadly left our old ones behind so bought these as a replacement). Our old ones we brought on camping trips, to other people's house when we have to prep when we got there, just so easy to bring anywhere. Our older ones were a little bigger (by an inch or two), but these are a great size. And I like the colors better in this pack. I love their flexibility and they are sturdy enough to bring across the kitchen over to the stove top and easily bend and drop your ingredients, everything makes it into a pot or pan or a small bowl without losing food off the sides!

Although this is a decent size and they are quite thick and sturdy for a flexible cutting board, when I get them out of the dishwasher, no matter how long after it's finished, these things are soaking wet! They are textured on both front and back, not smooth, that may contribute, but you either have to hand dry them or stack them around the kitchen for them to dry. No other cutting board I've ever had has done this. Might seem like a small issue, but it's becoming very tiresome for me.

These are exactly as pictured on Amazon's page. I use one to prep vegetables. Works great instead of my bamboo cutting board. Doesn't slide around and sharp chef knives don't leave marks. The coolest thing (to me) is cutting up a head of cauliflower, large onion or other veggies and picking the whole thing up, holding it over a pan on the stove, curling the sides up into a funnel and letting it all slide right in leaving very few pieces to be wiped clean. So far, nothing seems to leave stains.
