Q: I have it completely plugged in and fitting snuggly, but I cannot get the battery indicator to pop up saying that's it's charging...why?

I had the same issue. I would have to wiggle it around until the battery icon popped up and then set it down gently. I think there is something wrong with the contacts.

Yes it works for the Fitbit Charge HR 2 thats what i boughr ifor. It works better than the origunal.

I ended up ordering 2 different versions of this cable due to not digging into the details sufficiently. This was a replacement of a lost cable for my wife's fit bit. Unfortunately, there are 4 or five different versions of fit bits which apparently require different charging cables. Originally i just went by sight as the cable appeared to look similar to to the original but was astonished to find when they arrived that the new pieces were actually larger (by about 2+ times) and that the pins that contact the fit bit to charge were perpindicular to the fitbit band instead of the same direction. I looked closer at other options and found the correct one and it works fine. I'd say if you know what the exact model is, these replacements should be fine. Pay close attention to some of the ads or buttons you select as they actually say they won't work with particular mode;s and some even have pictures of the actual alignment of the charging contacts on the back odf your fit bit.
