Getting older means my reading vision isn't as good as it used to be even with glasses. This magnifier has been a God-send. It works simply; it magnifies just the right amount and gives consistent clarity across what I'm reading. I like it so much I purchased one for my wife and several friends! Everyone that sees it loves it and several have purchased their own. I don't usually recommend things, but this has been a sure bet. Also the cloth bag it comes in make a good cleaning rag!

Several years ago, I purchased one of these at an estate sale for my mother who seemed to be having trouble seeing her cross stitch. Her friends began asking where I had gotten it and wanted me to find some for them. Of course, I never did - that was a once in a lifetime treasure. But, I didn't know it at the time - I just thought it was some regular magnifying glass. Then I used it at my mom's for something and I was hooked! It went onto my wish list immediately and I couldn't wait to get one for myself. The cost is minimal compared to the ease with which you will have a naturally lit surface on anything you will put try to see!

Since I'm getting old, and still need to read technical documentation, this was a must-have. Great at creating a bright, magnified reading area. My wife has the smaller one for the phone book, but she isn't as old and vision challenged as I am.

I bought this for my wife. She has been having increasing difficulty reading books, magazines, and restaurant menus. She is tickled pink with her recovered ability to "Read the fine print". Her MagnaBright tucks easily into her purse protected by it's included velvet pouch. We highly recommend this little eye-saver.
