Works great
I was prescribed the F30i because I had some mouth breathing in my sleep study. I figured that since this thing was available for a great price here on Amazon, I'd see if I had mouth breathing because of the sleep apnea, or if I just breathe through my mouth because that's what I do.This piece is interchangeable with the P30i (but NOT the F30i - the attachment is completely different) and is relatively comfortable. Having never used a nasal only mask before, I did not realize how difficult it would be to learn to talk and yawn with this thing on. If you open your mouth while the CPAP is on, air just rushes right out of your mouth. It's kinda funny actually. As it turns out, I was mouth breathing because of the apnea. With this mask on, I don't have any mouth breathing. As I said, if you open your mouth (while relaxed) air just rushes out of it, so the one time I did roll on my back and open my mouth while I was asleep, I woke up immediately. At any rate, my only complaint about this mask is that the first few times I used it (once to see how it was, did not like it, didn't use it for like 2 weeks) it felt like it bruised my nose. It sits under the nose, across the nostrils, and kind of tugs up. I decided to try it a second time (acne from the F30i full face mask bothered me enough to give it another shot) and it was definitely less uncomfortable the second and third times. I now use this as my primary mask and hold the F30i for when I'm congested or just need a change. This is a fantastic mask (not a full mask, but it's the important part). I love the top-of-head hose connection. My sleep study used a mask with a nose hose connection and I woke up 4 or 5 times over night because I was tangled in that hose. That has never been a problem with this mask. I am a side sleeper, I can easily sleep on my side with it. There is slightly more noise with this than with the F30i (that thing is nearly silent), but I also got a P30i (the pillow version) and that thing is so loud I didn't even bother trying to sleep with it. It whistles incredibly badly. There's none of that with this thing. Give it a try. It needs the frame and headgear to make it work.

This is not a legitimate reseller. Caveat emptor -- buyer beware! Read on...
I came over to this seller's page to place an order for an item I usually source at another third-party store, just to give someone else "a chance".. what I got in place of the two items I ordered was an EARLIER MODEL of what I've been purchasing at other places for two years! It's obviously in a clear plastic package that is sealed, but anyone with a machine to do that can do that. It was not marked with any manufacturer's information. In all truth, how would I know these weren't simply nasal cushions that were returned to a medical supply company, checked out and resealed, then resold? I UNDERSTAND that we don't need to throw out things that can be used, but without knowing what I got by looking at the page, I didn't get the chance to make that decision. These nasal cushions are NOT current; they have a hard, clear plastic piece in the front with two small vent holes (the hard plastic is probably acrylic) which makes side sleeping very difficult. It creates distracting noise when sleeping on one's side as well. I am so very disappointed in the dishonesty of this seller. I have reported this to Amazon, though I know it won't make a difference. Selling an item in place of the one a buyer expects is not legit. Poor function of the old-style nasal cushion and while slightly cheaper than the other place I get these, they don't work, so it makes for poor value for the price. So sad.

Mixed feelings....
Having sleep apnea can be expensive. Buying replacement supplies from big companies, even online, can be costly. So Amazon and Walmart dot com are my go to suppliers. Resmed has an updated version of this cushion and it's very comfortable. But it's easy to get leaks because of the way it sits, which is extremely aggravating. I tried this older version and it fits perfectly. No leaks whatsoever. But it's not comfortable for me. I had to get up and switch them out. For a back sleeper, I imagine this would be perfect. I wish they'd find a happy medium....

Great replacement for my Cpap
I needed replacements while they ironed out whatever between Drs paperwork & insurance paperwork so I tried Amazon and sure enough this is the best deal I could get short of getting insurance to pay for it. This is exactly what I was using at a much lower cost than what the Home Health Co is charging! If I could find a way for insurance to pay me back I would just continue to get my supplies here. They are delivered and I don't have to deal with a snotty receptionist!
